strawberry floats sake. Headphones arrived today, but I slept right through it and now have a nice card instead saying they missed me. I needed them for a train journey today as well

The card says I should go delivery office tomorrow, but what are the chances it would be there if I went a bit later on today?

I did have two vb scripts which I was using to parse the data from the megadumps I got from the dc's but I ended up scrapping them in the end and got creative with excel to sort some info out. The rest of the formulas are just a bosh but they reliably return accurate results across the massive dataset so Ill leave it as is.

Ive got a spready for the CNAME records now too! Fun fun fun.

Gottya. I tend to be an old fashioned bugger with that sort of thing and will often see if i pull it into sql, normalise it and then query on it from there (or create a cube if need be to analyse it that way). Old habbits I think.

It seems like the best way to do it to be honest. Unfortunately Im a tech and not a data wizard so an elegant solution was never really on the horizon :lol:

I had a few ideas before I dug in, like a fancy Access database as I have much more experience with it and crazy forms etc. Or I was thinking of writing a quick GUI based vb app to compare the raw data and work on smaller exports from there. Alas, Im on a tight deadline for it as Ive inherited the project and its already years late, so quick and dirty is the way Im gonna roll with it. :shifty:
