I'm hoping that this is going to be a little bit more light hearted and 'fun' than Arrow. Don't get me wrong, Arrow is great, but I'd like Flash to avoid being dark and broody all the time, otherwise it's just going to be a carbon copy.

Also loved the [is]newspaper at the end of the episode. Not sure if the 'Missing in Crisis' line is a reference to some kind of Infinite Crisis type event, or just a general crisis that was going on at the time. Also loved the reference to Wayne-Tech as well.[/is]

The red skies hint to Crisis on Infinite Earths where Barry Allen died.

What the strawberry float dude. That is a massive spoiler

Only if you've never read the comics.

They're never going to get to that point in the show. It's an easter egg.

He's one of the most famous Flash villians because he's a talking super-intelligent gorilla. Also he's telepathic.

STOP TAKING YOUR MASK OFF BARRY FOR FFS

Also putting this out there to cash in later - Harrison Wells is Barry Allen

I'm half expecting it to go all Animal Man with Wells since he seems to be intentionally creating the flash and all of his villains

Every single week I forget to turn down my volume for the MY NAME IS BARRY ALLEN at the start of the episode. My poor ears
"A man of steel" strawberry float off cisco

I love the 2 minute teasers they do at the end, this week's was especially good. It was so bad when Agents of Shield did the same thing in it's early episodes because it had nothing to tease.

1x06- Yes that epilogue was great. I've arrived at the belief that Thawne and Wells are working together, with Wells the brains of the operation. Thawne really doesn't do enough at the minute to justify his existence so he's probably the actual guy in the Reverse Flash suit.

I liked the Man of Steel reference because Wells was clearly intentionally making a Superman joke that only he would get. To get all meta for a second, Wells is the comic book reader who knows all the characters' futures. He's basically Superboy Prime.

He definitely has access to future knowledge as seen with his 2024 newspaper in the first episode.

That epilogue aside, the cafe interrogation was the best scene by far.

Isn't Super Boy Prime evil as strawberry float and extremely powerful, like kick the gooseberry fool outta everyone powerful?

I know you're not saying Wells is him, just a general question really.

Wells definitely isn't Superboy Prime, I was just comparing them because Superboy Prime knows the entire history of characters because he's from our universe and reads comics. Superboy Prime is evil and incredibly powerful yeah.

1x07- Best episode since Captain Cold.

-Love Wells' line delivery in this, he's Flash's Barrowman.
-Ralph Dibny :datass: I assume the others were probably DC characters as well but Dibny's the only one I could pick out.
- Two villains was a nice breakup to the structure they've been using so far. Gave the cops something to do.
-Flash/Arrow crossover next week. :datass:
