The film won't nearly be as good as that finale or this series.

I am surprised at the love for the Finale, I guess it is because I have never really followed the comics. I enjoyed it, and thought it was decent, but did I think it was one of the best ever? Nah

It has been a fun season and I am looking forward to the second season, also Super Girl looks like it has taken a lot more from this than Arrow, so I have hopes that will be good, and that CBS and CW will let us have a few cross overs, as they have worked really well with Arrow, despite the very different tones.

As for the events, clearly Eddie had not watched enough Bill & Ted, just make a decision to get a Vasectomy after, no need to rush into anything

I thought at the end of it they would probably rewind time and have Eddie alive again, but I guess that is unlikely, shame as I quite liked him

Ive just watched the pilot for this. It seems very good.

But is this going to turn out to be another long drawn out version of smallville but with the flash?

Ultimate prediction -He killed his own mother when he discovers he can time travel.

I liked Smallville but Flash is far far better.

Actual tears in my eyes with Barry and his mother.

Also, Eddie you moron. You could've just shot Wells instead :fp:

Though I suspect he'll be back from some time travel sciency stuff.

Oh, and Dat Helmet 8-)

Ok so ive watched the finale now

Isnt this now a massive paradox? Reverse flash got erased from the timeline - so wouldnt everything that he caused historically also be erased?

This was way better than I expected it would be. TV superhero shows have come a long way since shitty Smallville.

Hopefully the seasonal arc storylines remain strong and it doesn't resort to just capturing dangerous meta humans.

The season 2 casting news I've read makes me hopeful.

Jay Garrick's been cast so Earth 2 might be happening. :datass:

Casting additions -

As was teased in the finale of The Flash season 1, Jay Garrick - another Flash, from a different universe - will be joining the show in the near future.

The buzz from San Diego Comic-Con has confirmed the news, with Teddy Sears cast in the role. Here's a picture of him and Jay Garrick - whose stint as The Flash began before Barry's in the comics - next to eachother...

Image
Here's the official description of Jay Garrick, from The Flash team: "Jay is a mysterious figure who arrives in Central City to warn Barry Allen and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs of an impending danger that he alone cannot hope to stop."

Also joining the show will be a new love interest for Barry - Patty Spivot. Shantel VanSanten has been cast as Patty, and here's a picture of the real life actress next to her comic book counterpart...

Image

Here's the official CW description of Patty:"Patty Spivot is a police officer and science enthusiast who catches the eye of Barry Allen. Patty is obsessed with metahumans and partners with Det. Joe West this season but has no idea that her new crush is The Flash.

Back last night.

Not a brilliant episode, but perfectly ok. Mostly housekeeping, clearing up last seasons end and hinting at what's to come/

2x01- It was a good opener though I would have preferred more Zoom stuff. Some supreme ungratefulness from Barry's dad there- gets out of prison and immediately leaves because of reasons.

For real?

OK episode & a bit rushed - Ronnie goes off to be a movie star. Cisco getting visions. As mentioned, ridiculous that his Dad pisses of the next morning after 14 years in jail. Flash signal bit was great. Cisco getting a badge was good as well. Upgraded Security was funny after all the Season 1 complaints and then Jay walks in anyway.

I'm guessing Zoom is Eobard From Jay Garrick's world? Or one of the other reverse Flashes?

Decent episode -
Liked Jay & Patty, nice additions. Was a bit distracted by Catlin being made up like a blow up sex doll, not sure if that due to her newly single status and/or Jay. Good to see Harrison Wells back but not keen on the potential family drama of Iris's mum back. Baddie of the week was pretty meh.

A bit of a clunky set up for this shot -

This weeks episode was one of the worst so far.

Cold's gun freezing strawberry floating laser beams solid was just so bloody bad :fp:

2x03- Killing off Michael Ironside seems a bit of a waste.

You have to imagine they would have put some kind of alarm by the massive dimensional portal in their basement.
