Is Higuaín not right? Played with Ronaldo at Juventus, Messi internationally, Özil at Real Madrid, Luiz at Chelsea and Falcao at (I think) River Plate?

As it's not the answer Tomous had, I've just looked him up. He matches up for all of them but would have played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid. He has been loaned out by Juventus when Ronaldo was there so may not have played with him there. But it's still a correct answer.

I'm assuming whoever it is is Argentinian rather than having played for Barcelona.

I’m having it then.

The best I can come up with for the Whiteside one is the legendary Mike Newell, holder of the fastest ever Champions League hat trick(vs Rosenborg) for almost fifteen years. He played with Whiteside and Keown at Everton, Blake and Coleman at Rovers and might’ve spent time with journeymen like Hislop and Dickov at Coventry or wherever.

If anyone can tell me who took the Champions League hat trick from Newell I’ll be very impressed.

I was thinking it may be a Rovers player due to Blake and Coleman, but for the Hislop connection I was thinking of a Newcastle player.

Hislop played for Portsmouth and a few other teams as well. Due to a mix up with Panini’s 1995/96 sticker book I thought Hislop was Pavel Srnicek for many years. :fp:

It is, well done. I still find it incredible that a proper journeyman Blackburn player was the holder of the fastest champions league hat trick from something like 1995 to 2011, especially given that I think we were already out of the tournament when we played that game.
