It's fine as it is.

If they want fewer games, I can think of a few international friendlies which could be scrapped.

That would be my preference too, that and dropping the number of PL teams to 16.

Do you want to hear my idea for football revolution?

No? Well tough.

English football is regulated into three divisions instead of four and the Blue Square Premier.

Each division contains 33 teams, and each team plays each other ONCE either home or away, sixteen home games, sixteen away. These alternate season on season as much as physically possible.

FA Cup remains in full format, League Cup scrapped.

The whole of football is closer together, play-offs can be wider to include more teams, and more teams have more access to money.

All I want is for more money to trickle down from the top to the smaller clubs. I'd put a 1% tax on Premier league players wages and a 10% tax on all premier league transfers and the money gets divided between the smaller clubs. Having said that the money must only be spent on youth teams, training facilities or coaches.

The only idea for FOOTBALL REVOLUTION is for the big money clubs who moan like buggery about fixture congestion and players getting tired to strawberry float off and form this European SuperLeague where they can all sit around a table and share out pots of monies in an exclusive little clique.

Meanwhile, the rest of us can carry on just like we always have.

I also suggest all players wear shoulder pads, subs benches being allowed to be kept a secret, with subs coming on to wrsetling-esque videos and soundtracks, and the FA Cup Quarter Finals to be played on the moon - which will be ironic because the Jabulani will STILL be more floaty.

Eight games a season (or even four) is a lot to give up for the slight chance that England might do a bit better every two years. I can't see any club in any division supporting a reduction of the top flight.

Same for scrapping the League Cup - why should clubs/supporters miss out on a potential trophy/revenue when it would have next to no effect on England?

Liverpool are believed to have agreed on a £5 million fee for the sale of full-back Emiliano Insua to Fiorentina.

I don't like this story at all.

Now now, let's not get ahead of ourselves

But seriously, is he worth £5m? And isn't he your only left back?
