Well Stoke said they rejected a move for him because of a dodgy Knee, haven't seen that since he joined the Toon, had a great first half to the season but seemed to be overshadowed by Cisse when he arrived.

I'm sure all of my Newcastle mates wouldn't want him to leave but on the other hand £11million for a striker that they signed on a free they'd probably jump at the chance if it means they can reinvest the money into the team.

Majority of the time he was still playing up top and had the chances, just Cisse is a better finisher in the box.

Plus if Ba did leave and they brought in, say Luuk De Jong who they've been linked to in the past, it means they wont have two strikers leaving for African Cup of Nations.

I've heard them talking about it on talksport before. Their reason for it was that he was moved out to the wing when cisse played and that he actually had a lot of assists during this period.
