Still, I'd rather have City at home when we need a win than at the Etihad. (and yes, I'm well aware of what happened last year at Old Trafford, before anyone chimes in!). Chelsea at home is preferable to an away fixture too so at least we have that in our favour.

Its been pointed out on Twitter though that United are away in 5 of 6 weeks after Champions League fixtures though, to the following... Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, Villa & City. :fp:

Everyone will have a gripe of some sort. Just got to get on with it.
United need to look at the permutations there and think strawberry float - we need to spend a bit more.

Also i may have a season ticket this year. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Just got to find some way of affording it now. :fp:

While its been fun seeing you turn on managers who left Swansea that Steve Bruce gooseberry fool is unspeakably mean spirited and just downright nasty.

AHhhhh smell the fresh thread :D

Home to Tottenham first game. Good game to have and get out of the way, hopefully bag some points. We'll see what happens in the Spurs ranks with a new manager coming in and players in/out. Same for Newcastle aswell, both teams have Europa League Thursday nights to deal with this season but ultimately will be chasing the top 4. I imagine Tottenham will be moreso and Newcastle hoping to keep a top 6 finish as last season was so from nowhere!

I actually don't have anything against Brendan. He never said he'd be here forever and he'd have been stupid not to take the chance at such a big club. That Spanish bloke is a different story entirely though

Can you move us to League 1 please, Spinny? Also take my name off MK Dons, can't be doing that now we're both in the same league.

Coventry 's fixture list made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I'm sure your lot have had it your way in the past with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool having away games straight after. So shush.

Myself and Parksey were both added after a particularly bad weekend for Villa and Boro (which one? lol) where we both joked to be added to the Utd list as we were sick of losing.

I remember t'was vvvvvery funny when in the midst of a heated argument with a Football Thread peer, Parksey was subject to some Man Utd hate and abuse, Parksey proceeded to be all like "oh no you di'nt......hang on I support Middlesbrough" hilarity ensued
