To go off on a tangent slightly, do mass clear-outs of players ever work? Not sure they tend to happen anyway beyond media rumours because the cost of replacing players in such a short space of time must be quite significant?

EDIT - Also, strawberry floating hell Arsenal letting Benteke score. :dread:

Didn’t City have one a few years ago where they got rid of four fullbacks in one summer alone?

Yeah, they let a number of contracts run out of players who'd been a big part of success (Zabaleta/Clichy) and spent a big chunk qof money on replacing them. United had the perfect opportunity to do the same this Summer but only Valencia seems to be getting that treatment.

Honestly though the reshaping of the United squad is much more extensive. It's difficult to make an argument for keeping the majority of the squad.

I agree with most of that out list but I do think it's a bit early to give up on Fred, he has admittedly been very poor domestically but better in Europe. I'd give him another year to see if he can improve. Matic would be on that list for me though, far too slow and laboured. Lukaku too, so poor technically and so many attacks break down at his feet. I have mixed feelings on whether or not I'd keep Pogba, clearly our most talented midfielder but his attitude stinks and he either gives you a 9/10 performance or a 2/10, no middle ground with him. Despite that he's probably our most saleable asset and I'd be tempted to cash in if Madrid come calling, he won't last ten minutes there with his current levels of performance, their fans will eat him alive.

One of the biggest issues with clearing out the current squad though is the wages some of them are on. It's all well and good to say that Sanchez should go and he should, he's been a disaster, but who is going to pick up his £400k per week wages?

And yet again I'm forced to retreat into the warm comfort blanket alternative-reality of Football Manager, where my treble-treble-treble-treble winning Man United side sweeps all before it. Happy days.

Jose was right, this basket is full of stinking rotten eggs. Bin the strawberry floating lot of them, they need to go scorched earth on the dressing room.

I don’t have English commentary but that was a clear pen. Went down a bit over dramatically but obviously can’t hold someone like that.

I can not wait to get rid of Mustafi in the summer and buy a defender that can actually defend.

88 points. Ridiculous. Thought we’d drop points today so delighted to come through that.

Huddersfield should be an opportunity to fix the goal difference a bit and now Newcastle are safe hopefully they won’t have much to play for. Wolves on the last day of the season will be very tricky.

If we force City to win 14 games on the bounce and they actually do it, then there’s not much you can say really

Arsenal losing gives Manu a but more of an incentive to win Wednesday.

After Everton if they need more incentive, Ole really does need to tear them a new arsehole.

Mane was magnificent today. I think I want us to win it for Klopp more than myself

Mane is so strong on the ball, he muscled off like 4 Cardiff players a few times today, he's fantastic.

He recently dismissed any talk of leaving saying he wants to become a Liverpool Legend..

I don't think goal difference is really going to come into play - we'd have to draw a game and city lose one. Not impossible, but improbable. Would be amazing if we end up on the same points before final game, and a big scoreline comes in...

At this point i just want it to go to the final game of the season, and have a realistic chance of doing it.
