It's kinda ridiculous tbh.

TBH, I'm not that bothered by it, I mean, he'd play every game for us but it's the interviews he's given over the years, he's played for us since he was 16 when England didn't want him, feels kinda bad but he's young I suppose.

He had the right to choose and he exercised that right. Nobody has the right to criticize his choice.

Doing this worked out well for Kevin Nolan and Jack Grealish. ;)

Yeah but to be fair I don't think there is a better player in Rice's position than Rice himself, at least on current form.

It seems wrong to me. It’s fine to switch when you’ve only played at youth level, but once you’ve got a senior cap then that should be it.

He’s done nothing wrong as it is within the rules, but the rules are silly.

Hasn’t Johansson been doing the same with Luxembourg and Ireland. I think he’s finally made up his mind on playing for Ireland.

Ireland like Wales and England seem to be having a few decent young players coming through. Not sure who Scotland have coming through. Johansson plays for the youth team at Bayern. Ryan Noble was named in the Inter Milan europa league squad for todays match and is only 19. They got O’Connor too whose captain of the Man Utd youth team and probably will end up going out on loan next season. So don’t worry Photek the future is still sort of bright for you.

Sucks when players do this eh? Has happened a few times now with NI players coming up through the youth system etc and then jumping to ROI when it comes to full international team

I still think we'll have enough to go through at the Emirates even if we don't equalise, but strawberry float me this is crap.

Painful to watch everything has been poor from Arsenal.

I like how we played gooseberry fool short corners then started playing then long once we'd brought on a player who can't beat the first man :simper:

To compound Arsenal's problems I was listening to Simon Jordan earlier on Talksport he said that Arsenal only made a substantial profit last season due to player trading and without it they ran at a £50m loss mainly due to wages. I assume though that the club was budgeted for champions League football. Explains why they pulled Ramsey's contract offer as well. I know they have got a few big revenue commercial deals about to come into play at just the right time to plug the gap so they should be alright if they don't make the CL again next season.

Thoughts on today's game, Drummy?

We seem to consistently achieve results undeservedly. Accrington Stanley could have easily beaten us in the last round. Ipswich, the worst team in the league, outplayed us throughout 90% of the game earlier in the week. It's been going on all season.

With Brighton's recent results and current league position, I'm hoping to see a weakened team :shifty:.

Interestingly, the will be no replays this round, so we could see penalties today :o.
