Could also be good news if City players start to sulk after going out like that.

I don’t hope so.

I was conflicted as City quadruple would have surpassed the Man Utd treble, so I would have preferred Liverpool to win the league. But now I’m back to City even though we play them next week, I’d still be annoyed if we lose to them next week.

Moar like quadswallop amirite?

But seriously, always amazes me how Spurs manage to play so well without Kane as they do with him.

I'd rather city win the league but not at the expense of our ambitions. I've heard a few United fans say they'd rather lose out on fourth spot than Liverpool win the league. That's pretty pathetic to me.

Yeah, got to focus on your own team. Liverpool will eventually win the league again, it's going to happen so might as well just let them get on with it. I want United to do as well as they can, regardless of what that might mean for other teams.

As an aside, I'm always comforted by the fact that no matter how much City win, no matter how good their football, their achievements will always be tainted by the financial doping that they've been blessed with.*

*I may retract this comment when the Saudis buy United and spend like crazy

Klopp, on Suarez and Coutinho wrote:For these two boys, it is very special, because they are Liverpool legends.

This stuck out to me.

@Liverpool fans - do you agree with this? Neither won anything with the club, 1 dragged the club through the mud and the other was just a decent player for you. When I think of Liverpool legends I think of Gerrard, Carragher, Fowler, Owen (debatable), Titi Camara etc.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I'd actually care if Liverpool won the league. The media will be pretty insufferable, but luckily I don't live in England anymore so will avoid it. There are bigger problems out there than them winning a (probably overdue) metal trophy. We've been dogshit, so it's not like they will just beat us over the line causing last minute heartache.

If United don't get 4th we are just going to keep falling further and further behind the others.

You are, you tarnish Dalglish with same broad brush and it was a throw away line from Klopp you've focused in on.

It's a bit bizarre tbh.

I would just like to point out that Man city are going to absolutely tank spurs on Saturday. Like probably 5 nil.

Also despite last night's VAR decisions going to spurs I still can't help but dislike the process.

Suarez is the best football player I’ve ever seen. And those few years he was at his best with Liverpool he was absolutely magic. He didn’t win anything though so I wouldn’t call him a legend.

Coutinho was always over rated.

Not sure anyone should be calling him the best ever, but yeah Suarez had a real appetite for success during his time at Liverpool. He really got his teeth into the game during that stage of his career.

Alex McLeish let go by SFA.

No real surprise. He’s shite in the last few years.

That might be true but I think in the end he had bitten off more than he could chew.
