Hopefully it’s a better end to the season than last year.

Cardiff still fighting to survive, but their fixture list is brutal. They play City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd. They have only 3 more home games to play out of 8 games. Two of them are against Chelsea and Liverpool. They do play Fulham though, who they should beat regardless of where they play them.

Why was that penalty decision not checked in VAR? Looked like he tripped himself up from the replays. The defender touched his back but it didn't look like much.

It's pretty strawberry floating funny going from the City game where every single goal got a VAR review that lasted like 2 minutes to the guaranteed soft penalty for a Ronaldo side

Ronaldo's ridiculous statistics, courtesy of F365:

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 124 goals in the Champions League – the most of any player. Lionel Messi is second with 106.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more goals in the Champions League knock-out stages (63) than all but two other players have scored in the competition overall (Messi has 106 and Raul has 71).

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more goals in Champions League quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals (43) than all but 13 players have scored in the competition overall.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more Champions League goals (124) than all but 22 of the 141 teams who have ever participated in the competition, including previous finalists in Monaco (122) and Atletico Madrid (118), as well as PSV (119).

* Cristiano Ronaldo (113) has scored five fewer Champions League goals than Manchester United (118) since 2009.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more than twice as many Champions League goals (113) than Tottenham (56) since 2009.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has been the Champions League top scorer in six successive seasons.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the most goals in a single Champions League season (17 in 2013/14), as well as the second most (16 in 2015/16) and third most (15 in 2017/18).

* Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most Champions League home goals with 68.

* Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most Champions League away goals with 56.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to score ten goals against a single Champions League opponent. And it was Juventus. Which is probably why they signed him.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to have scored three hat-tricks in a single Champions League season (2013/14).

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the oldest scorer of a Champions League hat-trick (34y, 35d), beating previous record holder Claudio Pizarro by a single day.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has the joint-most hat-tricks in Champions League history (8, with Lionel Messi).

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more Champions League hat-tricks (8) than every club aside from Barcelona (13) and Real Madrid (11).

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more Champions League hat-tricks (8) than Dennis Bergkamp (7), Danny Welbeck (7), Romelu Lukaku (7) and Alan Shearer have scored Champions League goals.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to score a hat-trick against Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid. He has four.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is only the second player (after Luiz Adriano v BATE Borisov) to score multiple Champions League hat-tricks against the same opponent.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to score in three Champions League finals (2008, 2014 and 2017).

* Cristiano Ronaldo has the most hat-tricks in La Liga history (34).

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more La Liga hat-tricks (34) since 2009 than Manchester United have scored Premier League hat-tricks overall (32).

* The only Premier League clubs to have scored more hat-tricks overall (since football began in 1992) than Cristiano Ronaldo are Arsenal (39) and Liverpool (36).

* Cristiano Ronaldo only ever scored one hat-trick for Manchester United.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player in the history of football to score more than 50 goals in a season on six consecutive occasions.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 40 or more goals in all competitions in each of the past eight seasons.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to have scored in the 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 European Championships, as well as the 2006, 2010 and 2014 and 2018 World Cups.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to win the league title, the national cup, the national Super Cup (Community Shield), the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the league’s Player of the Year, the Golden Boot and the Ballon d’Or at two separate clubs.

* Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are the only players to have scored in every minute of an official football game.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to score for two different winning teams in the European Cup final.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to appear in more than one position in the UEFA Team of the Year.

* Cristiano Ronaldo has made the most appearances in the UEFA Team of the Year (10).

* Cristiano Ronaldo has won the European Golden Shoe more times than any other player (4).

* Cristiano Ronaldo is the top goalscorer in the entire history of Europe’s top six leagues (405).

* Cristiano Ronaldo is Portugal’s all-time top goalscorer (85) and top appearance maker (154).

* Cristiano Ronaldo is Real Madrid’s all-time top goalscorer (451).

* Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 680 goals for club and country in 948 games.

* Cristiano Ronaldo is really good.

But seriously, I’d question how accurate this is. Pretty difficult to fully validate.

In what sense? It's absolutely official that he has done it: the stats for the timing of every goal scored are something that has been recorded for a long time. He actually achieved this stat 5 years ago I believe.

That they are the only two players who have done it might be harder to officially verify, players years ago may well have achieved the same before such detailed records were being kept I guess.

Those stats in general are just insane though, it may be hard to like him at times but he's undoubtedly the best player of the generation.

Oh I'm not disputing they've done it, obviously that's easy to verify, just that they're the only players to have done it.

Yeah, like I say I think that's a fair shout.

This Reddit thread claims that several others have done it and a few are only missing the odd minute as well:

Only players that have scored 90 goals or more would be eligible, but someone that's scored 90 goals would most likely not have scored each of those goals in each minute of a game. Same with someone that's scored 150-200 goals. Probably need something ridiculous like 300-400 goals to get that, and not many players have those sort of figures.

There's probably some maths behind it that I'm not smart enough to work out

Nerves going now, don't feel confident, we need a Porto away performance from last year but we haven't go near that yet.
