I'm not sure how a United fan says that with a straight face. United had the unfairest of financial advantages for over a decade.

What decade was that? Blackburn had more to spend than us from 93-97. Chelsea from 2004 onwards and city since then.
It's not unfair when we earned it through our own revenue streams. We gambled when we floated the club on the stock exchange but a combination of our world wide brand and appeal and then our first big successful period meant that it paid off in a big way for us.

I have no problems with city or anyone else having more money than us. That they have illegally funneled money in and illegally funded squad building is what I object to.

If United had done it during the mythical decade you refer to. You'd still be mentioning it now.
It stinks. I'd be saying this if it was any other club as well. Not just the nouveau Riche neighbours.

I vaguely remember you expressing a preference for Rangers in Scotland Denny - do you feel the same way about any of the success they had under David Murray's tenure and afterward given their magnificent financial treachery?

It's the same mate. Though they were punished harshly but justly. Their achievements are tarnished. Simple as.

We spent enough over the last few years. It’s just the majority of signings have been performing badly. Mourinho needs to stop giving the money excuse in nearly every conference.

The only difference between our spending and City is obviously firstly they signed better players. But for every Mangala or Bravo they sign they can easily ditch them for Laporte or Ederson.

They've also been coached better.

His third goal was outrageous.

Very nice result for Liverpool today. Looks like Mo is back.

We seem to have a plan B now, whereas last year we'd simply try to score as many as possible, leaving gaps behind. This year we keep things tight in the tougher games, but let loose in the games we should win. I think this is by design, not just hitting form occasionally...I hope so anyway

Puts a bit of pressure on City going into a very tough game. Also, nibbling away at that goal difference a little by little.

I think statistically at moment, Alisson is the best keeper in Prem, least goals conceded and best save to shot percentage and that’s not mentioning his distribution. Like Van Dijk, he was worth every penny.

Obviously it was never feasible but I desperately wish we’d kept hold of VVD for a few more seasons for European games. He was a monster, head and shoulders and most of the rest of his body above anything else in the Scottish league.

Apparently him and Andy Robertson are both still big Celtic supporters too. :toot:

Robertson definitely is, he has a season ticket that he lends to his mate when he can’t attend. He’s a massive Celtic supporter.

Kilmarnock getting battered.

Indeed. I gave my ticket up to get a bit of work done and will never hear the end of it if it's a big win - the last time I did that we beat Aberdeen 9-0 too.

Holding ACL injury, Mustafi and Sokratis suspended for Southampton game, Kos hasn't played since April. Going to have to consult the handbook to see who we're playing at centre back in the next game  :fp:

We must have been dire today. One shot on target all match, against Burnley, the team that have conceded the most shots on goal all season.

Looks like the bastards actually turned up for once though and played the way they did last season.
