Preezy wrote:Looks like Chelsea won't be going after Sarri after all:
Chelsea have discovered that Sarri, who had been the favourite to get the job, had a homophobic row with Roberto Mancini during a Coppa Italia match last campaign.

At the time, a furious Mancini said: “The confrontation on the touchline? You have to ask Sarri about that.

“He is a racist. People like him do not belong in football. He used racist words.

“I stood up to ask about the five minutes being added on and Sarri shouted ‘poof’ and ‘******’ at me.

“I would be proud to be that if he is what’s considered a man.”

Sarri, who left Napoli last week, was fined €20,000 and banned for two Coppa Italia matches at the time.

“I was just irritable … I was not discriminating against anyone,” Sarri said following the incident. “If I did indeed use those words, then I apologise to the gay community.”

Surely he'd have been a perfect fit?

West Ham's manager Manuel Pellegrini has been mugged at gunpoint in Lon....Chile.

The world-renowned football coach, 64, was on his way to a restaurant in Santiago with his wife and two friends when they were targeted by a gang.

A spokesman for West Ham United said: "We are relieved to hear that Manuel and his wife were both unharmed."

In a Tweet written in Spanish, Pellegrini thanked Chilean police for their "quick and courageous" response.

Fred has arrived at Carrington for his medical :toot:

He's my favourite player ever and I loved watching him in all those games for the team he currently plays for in that league over there.

Is this a new Fred? I distinctly remember a Fred playing for Brazil a while back. Any good ?

There was a striker called Fred who played for...Lyon, maybe? This isn't him. This is the new and improved all-action central midfielder Fred and he must be good because they're shelling out £50m+ on him, and when has an expensive signing ever not worked out at Man United :slol:

It's the same Fred City were after in January.

Fred is super decent. Shaktar is the new Monaco for talent.

I think Fellani on a free is a good but of business. How many times did he bail Utd out when all the big money signings didn't turn up.

He was a big money signing himself, let's not forget. But yes I agree as a plan B he's good. I just wouldn't want him starting all the time, particularly in midfield.
