This is easily Liverpool's most expensive transfer window, Fabinho, Keita and Shaqiri alone cost about £115m now add £67m to that, not only this but we forked out £75m for Van Dijk in January.

That's about the bones of about £260m, minus the Coutinho fee it's £120m net which is still a huge amount. They may get 30-40m back for Sturridge, Ings and Mignolet. More if Lallana and Wijnaldum are deemed surplus to requirements.

I never thought I'd see the day Liverpool would be among the 'big boys' spending this kinda outlay but here it is.

We also signed up a young striker in Brewster, an exciting prospect at U17's, he's injured till xmas though.

Of course with the extra spend comes the extra scrutiny and expectations.
No more plucky Klopp and his team that cost a fraction of the bigger club’s budget.
It won’t be enough to just get to finals now.

You should be expected to challenge in the league and champions league again now.
No more fourth place is enough.
Of course your owners will eventually start saying “ this had better be our year”
Instead of the usual mantra.

It's a good move for Liverpool to replace Karius with the guy they put seven passed in the Champions League.

Reports on Twitter that Chelsea are making a late move for Alisson as a replacement for Courtios.

Same as last year when they tried to get Lukaku at the last minute.

Their dithering will cost them again.

Sucks for Chelsea to lose their keeper to Madrid. If only Madrid had a decent keeper to go the other way.

He was playing really well too, just hitting form towards the end of the season. Exactly the type of player England missed at the world cup.

shall take him quite a while to get back to how he was once he returns. though once he does return, will probably find it hard to get back into the Liverpool team again

So the Fekir money was spent on Alisson, that's fair enough I reckon.

Klopp going one step further, and getting an excuse in for Spurs too.

Are they playing any more matches under the League of Nations scheme? Or merely trying to solve geopolitical problems post-The Treaty of Versailles?*

If there are no more matches, then I can't see it making that much of a difference compared to the usual friendlies. They've given it a different name, but I can't imagine the players caring about it and treating it like a competition.

*That joke is too good for you pond scum in here.

There's no extra games, but each divisions winner does qualify for Euro 2020, so for the small nations these games will be massive.

The winner gets to demand a ridiculous amount of money from the loser? Which will lead to hyperinflation in the transfer market and eventually fuel the rise of an evil club that will dominate Europe for half a decade?
