Southampton look like they're doing what we did: panicking, giving up on what made them successful, and slowly sliding towards Championship mediocrity.

I’m not sure even DML would wish him on Southampton.

To be fair they sold a lot of key players and it’s eventually going to catch up.

Their last two appointments have been awful, but that happens in football. They got Potch and Koeman right. Sanches Flores is the favourite for the job and he’d be a good appointment.

I don’t really see this as panicking. Hughes deserves to be sacked. Their home form was shocking. All the lower teams in the prem need to be strong at home to have a chance of staying up. They have Austin, Gabbadini and Ings yet couldn’t score. They have a better strike force than a lot of teams around the bottom.

Also Southampton are lucky. If they had someone like Woodward running things he would have sacked Hughes after it was mathematically clear that they are relegated.

I was talking about appointing Hughes in the first place. It was very much against the type of manager that had been working for them and was a short term solution to keep them up that season.

Can anyone confirm reports that he was concussed at the time?

No it didn't.

It took me a full minute to process that Origi had actually scored and it wasn't disallowed.

Whens Jose getting sacked then? Pretty much every Manu fan I know wants him gone and have done for a while.

He'll be gone once the top 4 is mathematically out of reach. Shouldn't be too long now :slol:

Not sure if I want Jose sacked before the liverpool game?!

On one hand Jose plays anti football and will play for a draw or try to snatch a 1 nil win against liverpool.

On the other hand, another manager may realise that man u have an alright team, motivate the players and keep them in the same positions, making it a much tougher tie for liverpool?

Ahh I think we should keep him there longer so he keeps drawing against the bottom half.
