That challenge from Cameroon was disgusting.

Awful challenge but it's the behaviour in the way they are reacting to things that is particularly disgraceful.

This would be one of the most contentious men’s games in recent memory, let alone for a women’s match. Can’t recall seeing this type of behaviour from the women before.

strawberry floating HELL, this sort of Tweet makes me irritated. Stupid woman. I have to bite my tongue so much on social media - it's so tempting to reply to that.

Love it when a goal is ruled out five minutes later for something indistinguishable after ten replays.

Looks like she has deleted all her tweets.

When I had a look earlier she was having a minor breakdown and making some truly stupid arguments including “its’ FIFA’s fault for not teaching them the rules” and “the people arguing with me have less than 200 followers”.

And best of all, she argued the Cameroon players’ actions were justified because they are “starving and fighting to feed their families”...which seems pretty racist in itself to me.

Thing is, as far shaming football goes, was Neville ever similarly disgusted by diving? What Cameroon did was wrong but it was a one off; you don't see that gooseberry fool in every game and young girls watching will know it's not the done thing, or it can be easily explained why it shouldn't be. Diving on the other hand takes place in *every game* and is *actually* shaming football. But pundits and former players like Neville have made it the norm by hand waving it away as gamesmanship. Get pissy about things that are actually wrong in football, Nev.

VAR is rightly getting some stick but the main offenders over the last week have been the referees and assistants. Some of the decisions they were making in that France vs Brazil game last night were ridiculous, the Brazil goal that got overturned by VAR was offside by a mile and the assistant should be sacked for not waving for it. It's definitely being used a crutch by the officials as they're patently not up to the job.

I think that's a bit harsh on the assistants as they've been told to not flag until the end of the current play (or something like that) to allow VAR to check, should it result in an important incident.

Any serious manager should be turning their nose up at Newcastle as long as Ashley is running that club. They will surely struggle to get anyone decent in.

Given he has 1 year left on his 8 year contract that he signed in 2012 they might still be paying him...

Doubtful, given we paid for the privilege (and for a year things went really well to be fair)...
