I have Fridays off now as I'm on reduced hours and it's thrown my internal calendar off.

I'm excited about tomorrow, I'm actually even looking forward to the surreal atmosphere in the grounds as a novelty :shifty:

Should've gone for condensed hours instead, four-day weeks FTW.

Well I do 9-5, Monday - Thursday, isn't that the same thing?

Following the League 1 and League 2 decisions, what an absolute mess/clusterfuck that is going to turn into. Clubs want to restart, but if they restart, they stop furlough which may kill some clubs, but others will sue if teams go up/get relegated...all the while teams going bust from those situations...never mind non-league!

What is the logic here? Why does restarting effect furlough? Has the Government said that?

Edit: ah the players on furlough, i see now. Thought it mean match day staff etc

Do you not get paid any less? When you said reduced I took that for granted.

I work 8-6 Mon-Fri so keep my full salary.

Oh right yeah, I'm on 80% working hours and 80% salary as a result of cutbacks having to be made from COVID. Sucks but at least I've still got a job.

Out of curiosity, are you actually doing 80% of your workload?

My worry is if we reduced hours/salary I'd just have to fit the same amount of work I was already doing.

Condensed hours is when you work your full hours but fit them into 4 days rather than 5. It makes for long days but you don't then lose any money.

BBC says only six League One clubs want to play the rest of the games, so I assume the rest want to abandon the season.

Can football clubs not apply for the business support loans (dunno what it's called exactly) if they have to bring players off furlough and can't afford to?

Oh thats too simple. Some want Points Per Game, some want WEIGHT Points Per Game, and some want voiding.

This match isn’t as strange as I’d thought it’d be. Wonderful to have football back.

The build up felt strange because I instinctively saw an empty stadium and thought "Ah kick off isn't for another hour or so". :fp:
