Just watched a live Facebook stream of hundreds of cobblers fans meeting the players as they got off the bus at Sixfields :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: this will be repeated at all the other play off winners and Fa cup winners. Idiots.

Derby County defender Andre Wisdom is stable in hospital after being stabbed in an "unprovoked assault and robbery" in Liverpool.

The club confirmed on Monday that Wisdom had been robbed in Toxteth while visiting relatives.

They said the 27-year-old will make a full recovery and that Merseyside police are investigating the incident.

I quite like the idea, think they should stick around permanently. Gives the managers a chance to discuss things with players and reorganise.

They only benefit teams that are under pressure, it can completely undermine the more dominant team's good spell. Not a fan :capnscotty:

I said this a while ago but Danny Murphy is by far the worst pundit on TV, I honestly have no idea how he's swindled people into giving him a voice.

Jermain Jenus is awful too but Danny is very VERY stupid.

Pretty bizarre thing to get so worked up about. It's a tradition done out of respect and sportsmanship. Would not reflect well on City if they didn't do it.

To be fair to Pep, when he was asked about it he said they absolutely will do it because Liverpool deserve it. I also think it can be used as a motivational tool by managers.

Michael Owen says hi.

Not only is it stupid it's such a bizarre reason. Should you only give a guard of honour if you're a worse player than the those you're giving a guard too? The guard of honour is to the team and Liverpool thoroughly deserve it.

KdB might be the best midfielder in the world but you don’t win a champions league and race to a league title after 31 games by accident. Liverpool are a fantastic team and thoroughly deserve everything that’s coming to them.

John Stones and Otamendi giving one for VVD but turning their backs as Lovren walks past.

I don't agree with the reason at all about the midfielders, the World, European and Premier League champions aren't good enough to lace De Bruynes boots? Really?

I don’t think anyone agrees with Murphy’s sentiments Photek, don’t worry.

I do however think that KdB is probably the best midfielder in the world at the moment. A magnificent footballer.

I remember when Chelsea had to give Man United a guard of honour, with a lineup that included such Old Trafford legends as Chris Eagles, Kieran Richardson, Kieran Lee and of course... Dong Fangzhou :datass:
