Write this game off now but I think Norwich have enough about them to stay up this year.

It would be nice to keep scoring and ensure Liverpool are top for at least one week this year ;-)

Liverpool have started well. After the first round of games they'll already be 3 clear of Chelsea.

Just bet 50p on the draw.

In response to some earlier posts, I'm signed up to The Athletic seeing as it's half-price at the moment (makes it pretty cheap) and I would say it seems worth it. There are some excellent articles, and a level of depth and tactical analysis that you really don't get in the papers and most websites; Michael Cox's stuff in particular is very good indeed.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Probably rhetorical, but I do wonder how many games Sky will be putting out on Sky1 and Sky Sports Mix this season. I think it was 4 last time?

Ropey at the back. Hopefully it will get better with more games. Most people forgot but Liverpool scraped past our first 7 or 8 games last season, lots of 1-0’s.

Not great to let in 4 goals in your first game, but I think we play pretty well at times and were much better in the second half (though it Liverpool may have let off a bit..)

FYI Grant Hanley (the own goal) is our 4th choice CB and barely played last season. I think he'll either improve as he gets more game time, most likely will not be starting again (assuming Timmy Klose is fit for Newcastle).

I've just got back from the match, did they explain on TV what the delay starting the second half was?

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Something to do with the back-up referree's headphones creating static and interfering with VAR>

I'd hope for your sake it's the latter. Hanley has always been a bomb scare. :dread:

Actually, I thought Norwich came right back into it later in the game - obviously they were already dead and Liverpool had taken their foot off the gas, but Pukki( ) up front looked good and they were dangerous in places in the end. Got to sort that defence out though!
