Yeah, There's lots of noise about this. Think he'd be great for us ( We've freed up 300k+ a week from Lovren, Lallana and Clyne leaving ) Gives us another option in midfield. We'll see. Wouldn't be shocked if we didn't sign anyone of note again.

Think if Gini doesn't sign a new contract this summer, He'll be off too.

We'd be strawberry floating mad to let Gini go.

Time for adventure

Agreed. Wijnaldum even if he wasn't first choice would be an excellent squad player.

Doesn't seem like anybody in the Albion community saw this coming. Hints toward us playing a 3 CB defence next year.

Does anyone want to buy Shane Duffy? Could be a good signing for Leeds since we're definitely going to be taking Ben White back.

Man City spending a ludicrous amount on a centre back. Shock.

Ake is decent certainly but I’m not sure if he’s worth £40m!

Too early for next season predictions? Yes obviously but I'll give some anyway ;)

City to win the league.

Liverpool to have a bit of a hangover season - still more than good enough to finish second but things just not going quite there way as much as it did this year.

United and Chelsea to solidify their positions rounding out the top 4, probably still in that order

Arsenal have a better year, remain in contention for the top 4 throughout and finish in the top 6, same for Tottenham

Leicester never quite recapture their form from this season and slump to midtable

Not sure about relegation, depends who else comes up from the playoffs. Villa will still be gooseberry fool though

I've heard this a lot and it's completely unfounded. 18pts ahead of City and 33points ahead of Manu and City.

99pts and 97pts last year and it's down to 'things going our way' or 'luck'. It's really really not.

We lost Alisson for 2 months and Naby Keita for most of the season...

Think you've read that in a way it wasn't really intended. I'm not saying it was only down to luck that they won this year, at all. I'm just saying next year I think they may have just a few more games where it's not quite working out, for whatever reason, and they don't manage to salvage it

It's VERY hard to retain it and I do agree with City being favourites but I don't think Liverpool will dip that much, just that City won't lose so many matches. Although I wouldn't be too confident Ake would help that defence out... :shifty:

I still think they're going to try and sign Koulibaly and he'll be first choice with Laporte.

Why go for Ake at all then?

Because reasons, of course. Standard City buying policy.

I'm just glad United haven't ever signed an average defender for a massive fee. The perfect club

If it doesn't work out you could say it was a bit of a mist-aké on City's part!

Yes I know it doesn't work with the pronunciation!

Have you met Man City before Photek?

A few years ago they spent £130m on 3 fulls back over a few days.

Good on Bournemouth for squeezing that much out of City.
