The Official GRcade Football Thread 2020-2021
Image

Big thanks to Dowbocop for hosting last season's memorable thread - it was a season that saw Liverpool finally win the league title after 84 years and the entire game stopping dead due to the Coronavirus - one we'll never forget as fans.

Ever since football began back in those halcyon days of 1992, people have longed for a place to come and sling abuse and banter at each other over their little tribal empires on the pitch. This, my fellow GRcadians, is that place...

it's almost guaranteed at this point that Arsenal will get Liverpool in the opening 6 matches of the season. it keeps happening and I am sure it's not random at this point.

They're not random anyway are they? Far too many 'super Sundays' or whatever for that to be the case, and TV channels picking and moving fixtures based on what works best for them.

First season of the breakaway top two leagues with the wage cap destroying everything. Not feeling good about our chances but the next two seasons are really do or die to get into the Champiponship.

Can I be added to the fans as I believe the sole Sheffield United fan please :)

Happy with our big signing so far, obviously a shame not to have Henderson anymore but there was no chance we’d be covering his wages (I’ve heard he’s now on 100k a week, no idea how true that is), reckon Ramsdale will do well once he’s settled in.

Preezy - I did a big tidy up of the fans list at the start of last season removing all the MIA members and adding on new members like Robbo. You've got members that are permabanned on that list!

No worries, it's still in the OP and hasn't been archived so you should be golden to just nick the BBCode. I was actually wondering where you found that list

Thanks for taking over by the way, I had a great time but I think it's literally time for a fresh pair of eyes on the wheel :P

Sad as it sounds I genuinely really enjoyed hosting last time round so was happy to pick it up again, there are very things that give me purpose in life and this thread will be one of them :slol:

OP updated - anyone else that isn't on the fan list just let me know!

If it's true that he was abusive to police, resisted arrest and assaulted an officer then United should strip him of the captaincy and fine him as much as they can. Disgraceful stuff.

If he's headbutted someone he could be in serious trouble, assault with a deadly weapon with that slap.

It's kind of nice that money hasn't changed him though. Deep down he's still just a Brit tourist banana split abroad
