“Jon Champion speaks his mind [on ESPN] on the Glazer family, broadcast gets cut midway through”

A simple technical error or something more sinister...you decide.

Been very busy today.

What the hell happened at United? How the hell did they get into the stadium? :fp:

It wasn’t a protest, it was wilful destruction of property, violence and assault, this does their cause no good. Idiots.

What will happen to the United v liverpool game? Not a lot of room to fit a rearrangement in.

Nice to see aurier have a good game and bale was just world class, miles ahead of kane, who has been great, but never turns up in the big games imo. Ok, yesterday was not a big game, but hes been awful in every final we have played and most games against the top 6 clubs. If we can get £150m for him and dele we should take it and rebuild, but should never trust levy with recruitment.

Hard disagree. It was an excellent protest with a few idiots in there that caused unnecessary trouble. That shouldn't take away from the overall protest though. Delaying a big fixture like United v Liverpool is great work by the United fans-they organised themselves well. I think it would actually be great for their cause if Liverpool get given a 3-0 win too.

The Glaziers have refused to engage with the fans for years at any level, have taken plenty of money out of the club and don't invest in the stadium or facilities. And that's before you get to the ESL fiasco. They've happily ignored all the previous, quieter and less disruptive protests. What are the United fans meant to do at this point?

Yeah I'd take 3-0 on a technicality.
Liverpool supporters group - SoS has a meeting with the CEO on Thursday, Looking forward to seeing what comes of that.

From watching the footage there are far more than a ‘few’ idiots there. But I don’t disagree with the point of the protest. However I cannot in anyway agree with the violence, attacks on police and club staff, criminal damage, throwing of items. Protests do not need to involve violence and criminal damage.

The footage being shared and focused on is going to be of the idiots though.

I dont condone at all the violence towards the police, that is not on but I can't say I really care about the damage to property. It's hardly a big deal to United and the law hasn't protected the community from their club being taken away from them so why should they care about following the law in respect of the club's property? Again, violence towards police and club staff is not at all acceptable but im really not bothered about them breaking a few cameras.

It was great to see bale finally given the role he should have had all season, such a shame he’s been wasted.

I disagree in Kane he has an excellent record against big teams. Last season season he became the only player to score against ever premier league team he’s faced.

https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/footba ... 87326.html

He has 16 goals against leicester
11 against Arsenal
6 against liverpool
6 against Chelsea
5 against Man United.

It’s a myth that he doesn’t turn up against the big teams. He has unfortunately had bad timing with injuries with the CL and LC finals.

Why the hell would Spurs want to get rid of Kane  They won't even get close to replacing him with someone of similar quality. I'm guessing this is some form of mental gymnastics so you can pretend to be happy if/when he leaves this this summer.

No, we would miss his goals, but he is too slow and we need a bit more pace in the team. He is also getting older and will be worth nothing if we keep him for another 3 years. Bale used to get us out of trouble in big games, Kane does not, so he is not world class.

Ah yes, and once you're in your beloved Super League you'll be a shoo-in, given the league positions are decided on Pace Difference.

Really good win for Villa at the weekend, against a decent side. Would love to finish top half this season, which would be a massive improvement from where we were. Still got Grealish to come back as well. :datass:

To be honest, I can see where Gamerforever is coming from.

If they want to cash in, now is the time to do it. I suppose they could hope to keep him for his career but you get the feeling he is getting restless with lack of success. Now might be the best time for all parties to sell.

Obviously this is assuming they get offers £100m+.

I disagree, I think having him around for another 3 years is worth £100m and he should only be sold if he wants to go. I would happily see him decline with us and finish without getting a fee for us.

His all round performances overall this season have been the best I’ve seen. Whether that was down to Jose or not is an unknown. I hope it continues.

Yep. His goals/assists per minute ratio this season is insane, and that's been in a stuttering, stifled Mourinho team.

Sure, you could get £100m+ for him but I don't think his replacements would get anywhere close to making up for what Spurs would miss out on not having Kane in the side for the next few years.

That's assuming they can convince him to want to stay.

In all honesty he should leave because we are an embarassment and he deserves to win something in his career. Levy and ENIC have wasted our talent and we should have won the league and would have had we not had 2 years without any investment. The stadium is nice, but has been a massive waste of money and time and its only purpose is to make even more money out of fans.

You'd not have thought it beforehand but this Burnley v West Ham game has been a joy to watch; proper end-to-end stuff, both teams going hard.
