And there was me thinking gamerforever's heel turn would be the funniest thing in this thread tonight. Woodward going is absolutely strawberry floating hilarious. But this goes deeper than one person at each club so I hope that isn't a substitute for a heavy penalty.

I wouldnt trust any of these men to sell to reputable owners. Could say I have some experience on that front.

Turns out the ESL is the best thing to happen to elite football in years, the fallout is absolutely brilliant.

I hope this isn’t a case of Woodward demanding United withdraw based on the backlash and the Glaziers telling him no.

I hope United put a "proper football man" in Woodward's place, someone that actually respects the club, its fans and its traditions. Get van der Sar on the phone :capnscotty:

No chance he's leaving Ajax.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I've often thought why do people buy football clubs to make money. The Glazers have spent millions on transfers and failed to guarantee CL football which makes the finances so unpredictable. It's so volatile and the costs are huge.

This was obviously the ultimate plan. Breakaway league with huge revenue that they control. And they fix costs by imposing 55% cap of revenue. Leaving huge profits for dividends. If it had worked how they hoped, they could easily have made billions from this in the long term.

But the strawberry floaters failed. :toot:

Wow, this is beautiful and feels like it could lead to more substantial, lasting, positive change for the game.

Turns out the ESL really might have saved football! :toot:

There really is the feeling it could be a pivotal moment. I hope I'm not getting carried away but I've never seen the football community come together in such a united way.

Spoilered for depressing thought: I can't help but think of the worst case scenario of them selling to the murderous crown prince :dread:

Alright Captain Buzzkill, less of that  :dread:

It really does feel like one of those "you don't want you've got till it's gone" moments, the chance for big reforms is there now and should be grabbed with both hands.

Martin Tyler really playing up the “Brighton have only beaten Chelsea once in all of history but thanks to the football pyramid THEY HAVE THE CHANCE” angle here

FSG would be wise to sell up now. They’ve made a packet off the club. Despite our shambolic season we’re in a decent place and they’ll never be trusted again so better cash out now.

Worried United might get their act together but honestly the thought of the Glazers being spiteful bastards and running the club into the dirt almost seems just as likely.

Apparently some Sources saying that Tottenham have agreed not to play in next seasons Champions League as a result of failed ESL experiment. Unconfirmed.
