Gini is off to Barcelona it seems then. Shame we couldn't get any money for him, but he's been a solid player for us and has popped up in some big games. Hopefully we can find someone to replace him.

Wijnaldum was a great squad player for Liverpool, he'll presumably be missed.

blackoutHERO wrote:Fair enough, perhaps I read it wrong. I thought you were saying you supported Aberdeen and Celtic. I also read it as saying Celtic had a more pleasant supporter base than Aberdeen.

However, the Old Firm are cheeks of the same arse and are just as bad as each other. Celtic's fan base is disgusting. I probably hate Rangers more due to the Dons Hun rivalry but the hatred for Celtic is incredibly close by.

Can't say that now btw. Also, don't Aberdeen fans idolise a player who intentionally injured a Rangers man back in the late 80s? Bit of a pot kettle effort here I'm feeling. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/rangers-hero-ian-durrants-horror-23046676

Not that I disagree though, Celtic fans are pretty strawberry floating shocking at the best of times, I'm embarrassed to be associated with the morons who were chucking fences at police a few weeks back. :dread:

However, for the purposes of balance, your post reminded me of this cracker that a Rangers supporting mate put me onto a while back, probably one of the most beautiful backfires in footballing and forum history as a Celtic fan got outed trying to goad the Dons a few years back:

Is Hun classed as sectarian now? Is Tim?

Not saying Aberdeen fans are angels but I'd say glorifying terrorism, engaging in sectarianism and attacking police is much worse than winding up Rangers fans by singing about an injury there player received.

Yeah, it’s officially illegal to say it now. Tim’s still alright but I’d maybe stay away from Tarrier or Taig.

The point I’m making is that every support has a hard core of banana splits. It’s easy enough to gooseberry fool on the green brigade because they’re a bunch of entitled morons who, as far as I’m concerned, don’t speak for the majority of supporters(same with the union bears and the staunch penguin).

Aberdeen fans are some of the worst supporters I’ve ever had dealings with, just as sectarian and violent in their own way as anything I’ve seen from Rangers(I can’t make an unbiased comment on Celtic save from accepting that there’s a very problematic element in my experience as a ST holder). Weirdly enough, Birmingham City fans are strawberry floating disgraceful in my experience in that regard as well.

EDIT: I should say this isn't a rant at you BOH, you've always seemed like a fairly head-screwed-on football man and Christ knows the rest of the SPFL have enough reasons to hate the Old Firm.

No, you'll get a solid fine for sectarian language.

There was talk of the law getting rescinded because half of it didn't make any sense but I don't know if it's actually gone ahead or not yet.

I think that's ridiculous given it has no religious connotations as far as I'm aware.

I just base my opinion on my friends and peers (maybe I hang about with scumbags : :slol:) and not a single OF firm amongst them is level headed or staying away from the sectarian aspect of it all. Maybe I am biased, but from experience, it doesn't seem to be the minority of fans being scummy when it comes to the OF.

Anyway, I'm going against my actual opinion on the league and how it should have been handled, but I am PRAYING for a null and void just to witness the meltdown.

One of the United teams isn’t going to move off of the bottom all season either......

Potential Goal of the season by Ndombele in the match earlier. Although personally I prefer the long distance Rocket variety.

You know football is getting back to normal when Liverpool and Man Utd provide such a gooseberry fool match.

Big names like Fernandes and Salah were pants there. Luke Shaw totally shut Salah out. Fabinho was solid too.

Not a lot else to say about it really.

Awful. Jota needs to come back soon. I'm absolutely baffled that we haven't gone and got a CB.
