Why bring on Ceballos for Elneny with five minutes left? Odd change.

Turd of a performance but you'll take those 3 points and run.

I’m getting really fed up with what’s going on at spurs and Jose.

I’m very confused as to what has happened, clearly you could just describe it as the Jose effect and be done with it but I want to know why it was working so well only a few months ago?

Before Christmas we were flying and playing good, exciting, watchable football. Where has that gone and why?

Today was hopefully an exception as we were the better team against West Ham and on a different day Bale and Son’s efforts that hit the woodwork would have gone in however we lost so whatever.

What is going on with bale? He was good against Wolfsburg in the week and again when he came in as sub today. But why was he on the bench? Jose took him off early Thursday when he was the best player on the pitch, when asked why Jose said the game was won and he wanted to rest him for Sunday.

Again Dele. Don’t be fooled comments that he isn’t good anymore or doesn’t try. This is bollocks. When Jose came into the club he put his arm around Dele and he was our best player again for a few months then suddenly he found himself out in the cold. He has been used sparingly he’s looked good again but he’s rarely getting on the pitch.

I’m a spurs fan, I don’t expect to win anything or ever be the best team in the league but I expect us to be better than we are at the moment as we have the players to be better.

Our defence however that’s gooseberry fool but that’s a whole different story.

Jose needs to give in and start Kane, Son, Bale and Dele together. If he is going to insist on sticking with 4231.

Not looking forward to tonight. A blank refusal to turn up against Brighton given Fulham's sneaky resurgence would start making Roy's approach somewhat untenable. Or at least would if the fans were in attendance.

To be fair that was against the Wolfsburg you'd get if you ordered a football team called Wolfsburg from Wish, not the actual good Wolfsburg.

He also identified him as a lazy player in training from the very first session whereas he immediately loved the unspectacular
but hard working Eric Dier. Throughout Mourinho's career he has always had a bias towards the players who will run all day for you even if their ability isn't as high. Ali has suffered because of this in my opinion.

There is so much to be gained from a player who is a more mercurial talent.

Paul Merson and Robert Prosenecki barely even trained for Portsmouth, and they are probably two of our five or ten greatest players of all time.

Heard that perennial bogeyman Zaha isn't going to play. Is that right?

Potentially. I think if he does appear it'll be on the bench.

Do we have a Scottish football thread anymore or does it all live here?

That's some record Gerrard has achieved this season. Even if you look at it completely apolitically and without sentiment, to take a club only founded nine years ago, and beat the champions of the last nine seasons, to the title by only conceding nine goals in 30 (unbeaten) games, is impressive.

Just FFS at this match. A bit of hard graft wouldn't go amiss here as opposed to the fancy passing.

Quality backheel by the new Palace striker though to be fair.

The finish was excellent. I am frustrated at our performance and our blanket refusal to anything other than dance around the edge of their box.
