I've seen this response everywhere and I don't really understand how fouling a player who will be through 1 on 1 with the keeper ISN'T a red card.

For one, Toloi was right with them, for two he was heading towards the by-line away from the goal

I guess Toloi is the one behind them when contact is made?

Like he's running into the box and could easily get a shot at goal from that angle (assuming he continues at pace). How is it not a goal scoring opportunity?

Funny reading this morning how Dele Alli is 'back' after one good game (according to the BBC, anyway). Why is everything in football so reactionary and short-sighted?

I'd also forgotten how terrible his hair and moustache combo is - like a sex offender off Crimewatch. :dread:

Tbh it might be a bit gooseberry fool. You guys want Euro 2032? You only had it a few tournaments ago. What do you mean only 5k fans were allowed per match?

Yeah this is the real fear, we won't get a real tournament again for strawberry floating ages now if we get this shitty version of the Euros!

It was always coming home. 8-)

Thing is at least we genuinely have a good team of players capable of winning for once - loads of attacking options. Got to be in with a chance.

From what I remember the idea of hosting in one country was always UEFA's "last resort", but I guess that's better (for them) than not hosting at all. Multi-country hosting was always a crap idea, let alone during a pandemic. :fp:

We've got loads of really good players, but I'm sure Gary will be intent on forcing them into a defensive system and doing his best to avoid playing to our strengths.

I reckon the multi-country hosting idea is something that could unite GRcade in how strawberry floating gooseberry fool of an idea it was.

It was as much of a vanity project for Platini as Eat Out To Help Out is for Rishi Sunak. Just breathtakingly stupid. Maybe concentrate on making the tournament sustainable for one country to host?

I actually liked the idea. It was great for smaller countries who would otherwise never get the chance of hosting international tournament games.

It was gooseberry fool just how many games were going to be played in the bigger countries.

Heart was absolutely pounding then! GET IN!

Away goals needs to get in the bin. So strawberry floating sick of that rule. Forget the insanity of this tie where nobody was at home at all, it's a stupid rule full stop. It probably takes Brighton longer to get to Newcastle than it would for us to get to Paris, and we're a small country geographically speaking. Arteta's Arsenal could have been knocked out in two consecutive European ties despite not being outscored in either of them or losing a shootout.

I think multi-country hosting works on a small scale, with perhaps two or three countries maximum, but what UEFA were proposing was crazy. South Korea & Japan worked fine from what I remember, and the upcoming USA/Canada/Mexico one makes sense as well, as Mexico and Canada are never going to host on their own, and it helps share some of the burden of the cost as well, I expect. Same would work for Australia & New Zealand for a World Cup, BeNeLux for the Euros maybe, Spain & Portugal, etc. 12 countries is unfair on fans though, and has loads of unnecessary travelling for teams, with very few - if any - benefits.

Shame to see Leicester get kicked out of Europe last night. Reminds me a bit of Villa when we were in Europe last - work hard all of the previous season to get there, and then not really bother when you're there.

Those are wasted as you play for corners and set pieces under Southgate.

Anyone watching the Europa League draw? It looks like they got Hakan Yakin on to do the draw but forgot to hire a German interpreter
