Great header but appalling decision to disallow the west brom goal. Very lucky Liverpool there.

Great to see the faces of Fabinho, Firmino and Salah. Can tell they're ecstatic for him.

The law was applied correctly. If you're blocking the vision of the goalkeeper while in an offside position you are interfering with play and it's impossible to argue the West Brom player wasn't doing so considering he was stood right in front of Alisson.

Atletico one step away from La Liga.

Hoping Lille can seal Ligue 1 tonight.

Didn’t see our goal but a 17 year old has made more of an impact in 10 minutes than Brewster has all the time we’ve had him :fp: Frustrating about sums up our season.

Valladolid won't be easy for them next week though, as a win for them could well see them survive the drop.

Nonsense. Youd have been going apeshit if that decision had gone against you at the other end. It was a soft decision at best.

If we’d played like this in even a third of our games I actually think we’d have stayed up. No idea why we pull out a good performance and then go on an absolutely atrocious run of form.

Thought about tuning in for the second half of the Women's CL final, not really much point though is there? An absolutely colossal bedshitting.

Barcelona's women's side is rather good, to be fair. Take a look at their domestic league table this season.

I like how everyone is blaming the officials for the disallowed West Brom goal despite them correctly applying the laws) and no one is blaming the West Brom player for standing in a ridiculous offside position infront of Alisson doing absolutely nothing useful whatsoever.

I was watching the second half of Everton Sheffield United but I turned over and caught the half time goals recap. After those first two goals you can't really blame them for their heads going, but Chelsea will be really disappointed with that. I don't watch women's football that much but I try to keep abreast of it and I don't think it was expected to be that one sided. Ended up helping my wife with a job application but seems like the second half was dead.

It puts me in a very difficult position regarding City v Chelsea. Yes I know everyone should want Chelsea to win because they're (marginally) the lesser of two evils, but watching Chelsea lose three finals in a fortnight would be absolutely *chef's kiss*

Nah, I try not to get mad at the refs for actually getting decisions right. If you want to argue it's a dumb rule then that's a different conversation, but I wouldn't complain had it gone the other way. There's plenty of other things to moan about this season anyway.

I'm surprised so many people have an issue with it, IIRC that alteration to the offside law has been in practice for over a decade. I recall Man U getting the decision at Goodison last season with a goal being chalked off.

Perfect.

Also, standard Chelsea fare there, just repeating the name of the club over and over again.

I caught up with this yesterday and... I can't see why there are complaints. It's very straightforward, blatantly obvious that he's interfering with play.

I think Leicester have now officially replaced us as "everyone's second favourite team" (notwithstanding Celtic and Coventry fans). Good football, great underdog story, some real tragedy with the owners which has made everyone sympathise, and they're not a member of the big six banana split parade.

I feel like Arsenal are a meme team now. A team that primarily exists to be mocked by supporters of all other clubs. Whether that's fair or not is up for debate but playing Arsenal these days is very much not a big fixture, IMO, certainly not a game other clubs quake in their boots at the mere thought of.

It doesn't feel like there's been any easy wins for Atletico all season. I've lost count of the number of games they have won by a solitary goal, many of these coming very late into the game, like yesterday. There's been at least three games where their opponents have been awarded a late penalty to snatch points, only for Oblak to save it or they've missed. They've suffered a lot since Gimenez got injured, really struggling to keep clean sheets, even with Oblak's quality between the sticks.

Meanwhile Lille really underperformed last night. Almost scraped a winner in injury time but the St. Etienne keeper tipped an effort into the post.
