Can’t imagine they won’t just pay the 80 Dortmund want, it’s hardly a big difference in the grand scheme of things. I assumed they’d want 100+ but if that’s not the case I’m sure it’ll be done sooner rather than later.

Time for adventure

I didn't realize Manu bought Pogba for £89m the same summer Liverpool bought Wijnaldum for £25m.

I get the impression that supporters of other clubs don't rate Wijnaldum but honestly, he was strawberry floating amazing for Liverpool.

Wijnaldum is one to watch out for this Euros, he plays further forward for Netherlands and has been doing well there.

Arsenal are apparently preparing a bid for Ben White. Which I found strange because I thought they had loads of CBs.

It'll take £40m but good luck to him if he goes.

Edit: also I thought they had bigger holes to address in midfield.

Arsenal have issues everywhere on the pitch, we also get linked with everybody. We have a decent centre back (Siliba) that we bought a year ago and loaned out that looks like he won't get a chance. Arsenal like a lot of clubs do some odd things at times.

Hate it when my keeper makes a concession like that.

Is it time to start the new season thread?

Allegedly we've turned down £40m for Ben White.

Makes sense, why strengthen a fellow mid-table rival?

I am a Maddison fan but £60m+ is a little steep. I suppose it will include English player tax + selling to a rival club...

Also why would Chelsea be 'losing' Ziyech? They've no need to sell.

Why would Maddison go to Arsenal? If he wanted to live in London and they offered more I guess, but that's not a good move for him football wise.
