Uefa has left the door open for any of the 12 Super League clubs to change their minds, and its president Aleksander Ceferin this morning made a direct approach to the English clubs specifically.

“What matters is that there is still time to change your mind. Everyone makes mistakes in life. English fans deserve to have you correct your mistake. They deserve respect,” Ceferin said.

Haven't the clubs already signed a 23 year commitment? Surely it's not just a case of changing your mind.

Twelve clubs desperately calling JP Morgan saying nothing but "cooling off period" over and over.

Incredibly underrated bit of chat here.

Well he is good at taking things down.

He certainly likes to leave a mark wherever he goes. Not easy to get rid of him though.

This has already become hilarious, I'm starting to think some teams are going to go to the wall because of this.

I'm sure Amazon would be all over the rights to show the ESL if they could profit from it.

Wii U : punkeator
Xbox live : darksideby182
Psn : darksideby182
steam : Punkeator
Origin : Punkeator

Since all the money is in broadcast rights and both Sky and Amazon have backed off (for now)... how exactly are they expecting to reimburse themselves? Entirely through international broadcasts? That's an insane business model if so.

Maybe they want to cut out the middle man and broadcast it themselves, PPV?

With the money involved they could easily do that.

If the major players like Comcast, BT Sport, Discovery, Disney, Amazon and Netflix all came together and refused to bid, the Super League would effectively have to launch their own streaming service and bank on enough people subscribing to it.

How many times per month do Sky Sports Premier League/Football customers, paying at least £45 a month or £10 for 24 hours access, get to see their team play currently? 2, 3 times? If you're a casual fan, doesn't give a gooseberry fool about the rest of football or its national traditions, and you can now see Man Utd play for a fiver a month, and do so from anywhere in the world, I can see the appeal.

It's the Mail so who knows.

Do the club captains have a meeting every now and then?

The problem is no one knows at the moment, it's all rumours and 'leaks'. The facts we know are from their statement of intent.

They've clearly been meeting and discussing this for a few years so it would be incredibly surprising if they haven't discussed any of their with media partners worldwide especially as they want to launch this year. Media deals are normally signed at least a year in advance in football.

In short who the strawberry float knows!

I don't believe they'd go into this without some contract tying everyone in. Twenty three years sound like a lot but there must be some penalty for withdrawing.
