A boycott would be good, but this conversation is happening far too late. How many deaths could've been prevented by stripping them of hosting as soon as slavery, forced labour, etc were discovered? Not to mention the briberies and corruption in awarding them the tournament initially, and the sheet lunacy of trying to host a sporting tournament in the middle of summer in the middle east.

Norway and Germany wearing t-shirts is all well and good but won't actually affect anything. Football associations and other governing bodies need to be making a stand, not the players. If big footballing nations boycotted it would be great, but at that point you could almost ask what's the point - thousands have died already, not attending the tournament won't change that. If it can show that countries are willing to take a stand about issues like this though, it might prevent future cases happening.

It's just been a travesty right from the start. I honestly think nothing will change though and that the tournament will go ahead like usual. There's too much money and politics involved, and to the people who can actually affect the tournament and how it happens, where it's held, etc, those aspects are more important than people losing their lives or being used as slaves.

It needs some big nations to say we're not going.

Until that happens there is no risk to the product and FIFA won't care.

According to the BBC Mount is playing as a striker tonight.

Looks more like 4-2-3-1 to me with Phillips and Rice as holding midfielders.

What is going on with free kicks these days? England just took one where both teams set up walls and Poland had the chump lying on the ground

It all seems really bloody odd, especially when the taker hits his own wall

England have been shite this second half. Unsure why we need both Phillips and Rice, the latter would suffice. Revert to 4-3-3.

How did TAA get dropped from this team? Walker has done nothing.

I’ve noticed he’s been walking around a lot as well.

We might as well boycott, it's not like we're going to win the thing. Also I'm not sure we're big enough to make a difference. It'd take somebody like Brazil, Spain or France joining to have an effect.

England were decent in the first half and should have been further ahead at half time. Much better side than Poland overall, calamitous Stones error aside. It'll do.

You only have to look over to the Germany game to get some perspective.

I only saw the second half and we look very poor, IMO.

England probably won't win the Euros but I enjoy watching them at the moment. Southgate gets a lot of unfair criticism imo.

I checked the draw earlier. If we win our group we then play the runners up of the group containing France, Germany, Portugal and Hungary.

If we finish runners up in the group stage, we then play the runners up of Spain, Poland, Sweden and Slovakia.
