Liverpool must have known what he was planning? Must have realised the risk beforehand.

And the Irish player who tested positive after the England game - I know they say nobody's come into contact with him, but come on, they've been playing a football match together  :fp:
There's a reason people weren't allowed to do that during the lockdowns, and that's because there's a higher risk of transmission when playing contact sports with others. If anyone else tests positive I bet clubs will be raging, especially as it was an utterly pointless match.

Absolutely shitting myself with excitement at the prospect of Fulham vs Everton on BBC One - so generous with the fixtures to people who aren't paying for Sky or BT

The FP says you're a Villa fan....

This is...Fulham Vs Everton. Are you SURE about that? :slol:

I bet the viewing figures for a United or Liverpool match on BBC would be through the roof, putting to shame the paltry figures the likes of BT Sport and Sky can manage. A game between 2 top 6 sides would also be a massive draw, it's a shame it'll probably never happen.

Probably one reason why they'll never do it!

Turns out our hero Rashford is a... landlord, snapping up housing across the north west to build up a large rental property portfolio.

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Is that the best the Tories can do? He dared ask the government to feed children and so their lapdogs in the press come up with a "scoop" that a rich footballer owns a few houses.

This is an outrage. Cancel those free meals immediately.

Property as a form of investment is strawberry floating bullshit though. I've not read the story but it's not exactly a reach to point out the mild hypocrisy in advocating for free meals while profiting from a system that makes it harder for the people benefiting from those free meals to afford housing.

That said he's clearly a conscientious guy, I don't know or care about the ins and outs of this specific property company and really it's the fault of successive governments for making property the only real viable form of investment, which obviously anyone with the money to do so is going to take advantage of.

Buy to let landlording is bullshit.

But according to the headlines Rashford has bought "luxury houses". So he's hardly taken property away from needy families.

The whole thing is designed solely to discredit somebody that has fought for poor kids to be fed. It's not a crusade against wealthy landlords, it's a "how strawberry floating dare you speak out, know your strawberry floating place" story.

It's says building development projects. Not snapping up cheap housing and ramping the rent up by 150%.

He's probably building houses and then renting them out and it won't be houses for the worse off either. Which IMO is fine.

Rashford can do whatever he wants with his money, Robbie Fowler invested in properties too and is minted. Can’t believe you’re jumping on him, I mean put rivalries aside, the UK press are now gonna start going for him because he’s embarrassed the government too many times. The guy has morals and empathy, we should all defend him. When you side with the right wing newspaper bastards, maybe take a look at yourself.

Right wingers seem to get really annoyed by other people showing empathy and genuinely trying to help others to the point where they're desperate to find something that they can point at and go AH HA! SEE! YOU'RE NOT SO GOOD NOW ARE YOU?!
