It's idiotic to expect Klopp to rest his players during an FA cup game. I mean what's stopping him resting them in the League games?

He's the manager, it's his job to work out the best schedule fo resting players and that could happen across any cup or league game. He's got a big enough squad to work with.

It's idiotic to complaint about players being tired and then play those same players you are worried about when gifted an opportunity to rest some.

Great goal that by the Villa boys!

I saw before the game started some people were worried about this being a real thrashing, maybe even into double figures, but I doubt we'll get that many against a pretty strong Liverpool side.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

"Gifted an oppotunity" during an FA cup game? It's a competitive game. And we've got 9 days off now. I think your own manager needs to look at his idiotic team selection for tonight's game. What's he resting them for exactly? So he can win the league?

Are you serious?

We had a COVID outbreak. :fp:

Yes he was gifted an opportunity, it was known that we were going to have to field a team of kids so Klopp could easily have rested players and still won the game, but he didn't.

Some good fixture scheduling going on from the FA then when there's only 6 games this midweek (and it won't even make everyone equal on games played).

So presumably at some point Liverpool and a few others will have one week of 3 league games; probably sandwiched in between some Champions League games.

Exactly, they're just disrespecting the cup by fielding such a weakened team

Typical Villa smh

We've got our own crisis today, worse even than Villa's I believe, however when we lose it won't be against the Premier League champions but Chorley FC... :dread:

Good performance from the Villa boys last night. Will have been a great experience for them, and Barry in particular. Who was the Liverpool defender he ran past? Looked like he was running in slow motion.

Hope the COVID outbreak doesn't affect the league side of things too much, although with the fixtures already being strawberry floated it might be unavoidable. Other teams have had games postponed for the same reasons, so you'd hope Villa would be given the same treatment, but it's going to be tougher to fit them in when we've already had other games postponed.

Don't know why the PL didn't just take the chance at the start of the season to swap some fixtures and have the two Manchester teams playing each other as their game in hand, rather than mess up other team's schedules just because they were in Europe. Villa could have played Burnley and been one less game behind.

For FFS we are actually 5/2 to win today .

They better put an asterisk next to the record that states it was a huge 'cupset' :shifty:.

Leeds best hope is for Tottenham to get stuffed later so everyone forgets how badly they did.
