If Bailly can stay fit (and that's a very big if) then they shouldn't need to. He's the perfect partner for Maguire and they complement each other nicely.

"You're not the least bit gooseberry fool."

"No Eric mate, neither are you."

Yes, I took liberties with 'complement'.

Please don't play Pogba and Bailly together again, not after that goal celebration.

Have to say, I thought Maguire was hard done by on that disallowed goal. He had the run on the defender, and jumped sooner and better. His arm did go down but it looked to me like the ball was already won from his jump at that point.

I believe the commentary team justified the decision in words to the effect of "the contact between Maguire and the defender occurred prior to the contact of the ball cannoning off Maguire's slabhead".

It's not a no contact sport though. It didn't look to me like there was significant contact that impeded the Burnley defender.

If you see a Bayern fan today it's probably best to not München the result.

A bit clumsily written as my preference for Celtic has nothing to do with me being an Aberdeen supporter but I don’t see what’s so objectionable here.

I’ve never encountered a more dour yet threatening fanbase. I’ve been to Ibrox and see my team lose 5-0 with the home support looking like they’re enjoying it less than me while they sing their gooseberry fool songs.

“We are the people” - who punch police dogs, desecrate European cities and rip up seats at Pittodrie.

As I said, a preference. In the same way I’d rather be shot by a firing squad than drown.

Fair enough, perhaps I read it wrong. I thought you were saying you supported Aberdeen and Celtic. I also read it as saying Celtic had a more pleasant supporter base than Aberdeen.

However, the Old Firm are cheeks of the same arse and are just as bad as each other. Celtic's fan base is disgusting. I probably hate Rangers more due to the Dons Hun rivalry but the hatred for Celtic is incredibly close by.
