The finish was excellent. I am frustrated at our performance and our blanket refusal to anything other than dance around the edge of their box.

It bugged me for years how pundits and co-commentators would always say "he's got every right to go down" just because there was some contact, regardless of whether it was a foul or if the contact would actually bring someone down. It's a contact sport, of course there's going to be contact. Doesn't mean you have to throw yourself to the ground every time. :fp:

People like Salah even blatantly dive in the middle of the pitch now. :fp:

It won't change until players get yellow cards for attempted cheating, but the PL (or PGMOL, or whoever) don't seem interested in doing that.

I would be absolutely fine with a mandatory yellow for every simulation, but second yellows would probably need to be double-checked with VAR.

They should just introduce 1 match bans for diving, with a panel dishing them out after the game.

Really think your biggest cheats like Salah and Kane would soon stop if there was the risk of missing games.

Genuinely surprised by that. I guess losing to Ross County twice in a season was the straw that broke the board’s back.

I've literally never seen this happen, the lad dives sure but in middle of the pitch? It's Liverpool/Klopp bashing time so ill scratch it down to this.

Personally I think it's brought up in a round about way with phrases like 'he went down way too easy/there wasn't enough contact'. All diving is annoying, even from Liverpool players tbh but the way Harry Kane gets away with it with his famous backing into player heading ball away then jumping to the ground and getting a free kick with not one commentator or pundit mentioning it despite the fact he's done it countless times can be rage inducing.

A perfect example of the Jesus Kane syndrome:

It does happen. I've seen at least a couple of instances in highlights recently. I'll try and find one.

I don't know why you're rolling your eyes either, I'm just citing an example that happens to be a Liverpool player. Some Liverpool fans seem to hate it when it gets pointed out that Salah and Mane dive. But all teams have players that dive and/or go down easily. There needs to be some kind of punishment for it, IMO.

Prime example last night in the Southampton-Leeds game: player goes down, penalty gets awarded, VAR and the referee look, penalty gets overturned. So the player dived, but no yellow card. Why? He's trying to cheat and deceive the referee. That should be discouraged.

Sure but if Jack Grealish dives anywhere on the pitch then why can't Salah

He can, but he (and Grealish) should be penalised for it.

And fouls should be given for wrestling, shirt pulling, where the player is impeded but doesn't go down

Rumour mill is saying Steve Clarke(no thanks - don't think he'll cope with the pressure) or Jack Ross(also no thanks - not sold on whether he's good or not). I can't really see that there's anyone with any talent that would want to come to Celtic at the moment, to be honest. Like, I'd love Benitez or Eddie Howe, but why on earth would they want to come to Glasgow?
