They definitely used City as a bargaining chip but I suspect if United hadn't made the offer he wanted then he would have ended up there.

This is my thinking as well. The story leaking doesn't mean there wasn't interest from City.

He was leaving Juve for sure and City or United were pretty much his only options.

It's due to climate reasons. They have spoken about changing it though I think

My guess for Man Utd; is Tottenham to beat them 2-1 Kane for Tottenham and Ronaldo for Utd, Ole to be sacked on Sunday morning and Conte to be in on Monday. Kane to City in January.

The weather.

It is moving to the summer from the next tournament though as there's been enough fallout between clubs and players about not being available for a month over the years.

It did get moved for the last tournament (2019) but seems to have gone back to the old format. Probably not helped by Covid either.

Turns out it was initially brought forward from summer 2021 to January 2021 due to the weather. So I imagine future tournaments might end up being similarly rescheduled.

I think it’s to do with the weather.
