Ndombele has got to be up there for Spurs. Club record signing, amazingly talented... but nah...just can't be bothered...

Torres sprung to my mind. Other than the Neville orgasm moment (one of the best moments in sport ever), I don't remember him having much success at Chelsea.

I remember Torres missing that open goal at Old Trafford after rounding the goalkeeper.

Might be mis-remembering but I'm sure there were signs that Torres was going off the boil even before he joined Chelsea?

I imagine a bit like what would happen to Salah if he went to Chelsea right now ;-)

Julian Ward (our new sporting director) just got £42.5m for Mane from Bayern.

His signings are Diaz, Nunez, Carvalho and Ramsay (aberdeen), not too bad.

Indeed, he needs to go, mainly to get him off the wage bill so it can be used elsewhere. The problem is I can't see anyone else being prepared to offer him the same wages.

Recurrent knee injuries if I recall.

He's just copying Ronaldo.

Is this actually true? He looked like a beast when he first arrived at Spurs.

This is surely the winner. Or about a dozen others to choose from that were transferred there.

Dider Ndong. Record signing, strawberry floating useless.

Apparently so. He's had 4 managers that wouldn't play him, and would rather play weaker players in his place. He's just very lazy and doesn't want to push himself too much. Shame as he would have been brilliant, and if it does click somewhere I am sure he will be amazing.

He's the epitome of a mercurial player, and it breaks my heart a little bit when I think of how it could have been.

Still, it's difficult to be too down as a Spurs fan currently, so it aint all bad.

Wonder if Salah will also get itchy feet now that his bestie has gone to greener pastures?

Gutted Mane is leaving he's been my favourite player of the Klopp era. If Sports Direct printing wasn't so gooseberry fool his name would still be on the back of my shirt.

Tangentially football related: my wife was at conference with a motivational speaker yesterday. He was a marine and unfortunately got caught in an IED blast. They managed to save his leg but he was a very active man and later decided that he'd rather have an amputation to improve his quality of life. He awoke from the surgery and the surgeon said "Good news - the surgery went fine. Bad news, I had to cut into your Liverpool tattoo to fold up the stump."

The tattoo on his leg stump now reads "YOU'LL NEVER WALK"
