On paper is a very loose term. Hoping United get De Jong done and build from there.

Think yous have got enough budget for another big player?

Richarlson seems like he's off to Spurs, they're putting together a quality side.

Richarlison is as good at football as he is at being a massive twat, so in terms of quality it's a good signing for Spurs

I have a feeling West Ham will get a champions league place at the end of the season.
4th so I'm not going overly crazy but pretty wild for West Ham.

The league will be another titanic battle between Man City and Liverpool with Liverpool winning the league.
Top scorer will be Jesus for Arsenal.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61965079:
Manchester United have reached a broad agreement over a 65m euro (£56m) fee, plus add-ons, with Barcelona for the Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

However, club sources say the deal is not done and there are still significant issues to work through.

But the development is seen as positive in terms of the transfer eventually reaching a conclusion.

Barca are selling him for 10m euros less than they paid for him in 2019.

No wonder their finances are so shambolic.

Its not about getting a big player. We need de Jong but we still need 2 or 3 in other positions. The talk was 200m available for Ten Hag. We've had a bid accepted for the left back for Feyeenord but hes also being courted by Lyon.
Still need a right back or centre back and a forward.

They didn't make it into the Premiership but there's always next season.
Money as always is the main problem for Luton and not having an owner with billions they can just lose and not give a gooseberry fool about.

The only reason I kind of like West Ham is the Olympic Stadium is great and I'd like to see it used as a champions league venue.

That's a bit pointless as it's going to be nothing.
I'm betting on Arsenal having the top scorer but I don't think they'll actually win anything.

Maybe they might win that Pre-season cup they have every year?

It is a great stadium. Would have been nice if it wasn't gifted to West Ham for strawberry float all and the tax payer got a better deal from it

I misread Toumous's post at first and thought he was being mean about Spurs :x , when he was in fact being complimentary about Richarlison. :slol:

The deal looks to be going ahead. Think it's a great signing, and really helps Spurs with their issues with cover/depth.

Apparently he's actually a really nice guy off the pitch, does loads of charity work and is pretty vocal about supporting a number of things he believes in (women's rights etc), amazing as he is such an utter cock womble on the pitch. Will be interesting to see how he get's on with Romero (They will prob end up bros)

i've honestly never rated Richarlison that highly, seen so many games where he doesn't really do much of anything.

That's a play from the Didier Drogba playbook, I suppose. Utterly horrific player to come up against, but the dude more or less single-handedly stopped a civil war in Cote d'Ivoire.

Amazon close to deal over Champions League rights in UK

US retailer and streaming giant set to split UK rights with BT Sport, while BBC to broadcast highlights in new Match of the Day edition

The deal, which also includes Europa League and Europa Conference League games, also reflects the expansion of the Champions League to involve 36 clubs each playing eight group stage matches from 2024.

If it's simply part of Amazon prime and not an add on then this is great news imo

That seems like a really, really shitty deal.
I must be missing something obvious.
