Not even close. The last time Forest were in the Premier League we signed the first ever Italian to play in it. This behemoth of world football was one Andrea Silenzi. A player who, it seems, had managed to rise to the top of Italian football without actually knowing the offside rule. He was absolutely strawberry floating terrible.

He's up there, but the lack of a transfer fee stops him achieving worst-ever status

He was great for Arsenal for most of his time there, no way is he the worst Premier League signing!

Imagine being a Forest fan and not knowing that the last time they were in the Premier League was 1998/99.... ;)

Of course, I'm only referring to when he signed for Man Utd.

I never realised that, I always thought United paid a big fee for him. I might be mixing that deal up with another flop at around the same time. I want to say between Chelsea and Liverpool but can't remember exactly who it was.

Edit - Fernando Torres!

In terms of value for money, any worst signing debate has to include Andy Carroll to Liverpool, Pepe to Arsenal, Fernando Torres to Chelsea and Kepa to Chelsea.

Willian and Silvestre to Arsenal.

Konchesky to Liverpool.

Soldado to Spurs.

Veron to United.

Veron to United was a classic gooseberry fool signing from back in the day, pretty sure it was a record fee for the time as well

Roy Keanes take on Veron is an interesting one. He was a bit of a scapegoat for that teams lack of success. Other players were poorer but without the record fee. He was much better in the second season when we won the league. 2003.

Don't make do it. It was bad enough quoting Jenuall.

Surely the worst Prem signing ever is Jack Rodwell to Sunderland, that was a deal that nearly killed the club.
