You said he did great work in the community... which is in where, Newcastle? It's not ALL good work is it?

I'm a Liverpool fan, Everton are the local rivals... what the strawberry float is going on in this place?

What on earth have his twitter posts got to do with his community work?

Firstly, I am shocked to see Arsenal fans not rating him. SHOCKED I TELL YOU!

Whilst Tottenham have an amazing front 3, if anything happens to one of them there is a real lack of quality to turn too. Richarlison can play across all of the front 3 and offer Spurs a quality replacement when required. (Personally I rate Moura and would have liked bergwijn to have been given more of a chance, but in Conte we trust).

Stolen from Reddit wrote:The idea of him being a “backup” is a little misguided I think. He wouldn’t make the squad if the strongest possible squad is assembled, but Spurs are looking at playing 60 games or so this season, and Richarlison will start probably half of them. He’s not a “backup” per se, he’s very talented depth that really softens the dropoff in quality when the squad is rotated. Like Jota/Firmino/Diaz last year. Mane and Salah start if fit, but the others rotate around them".

He was always a pain when Spurs played him, and I know that was felt by fans of other clubs. Horrible to play against, but great to have on your side.

As mentioned earlier, he was probably Everton's most important player and played a large part in them staying up last season. My Everton fan friends are gutted, and you do not get this annoyed/upset if it's a gooseberry fool player leaving your team. (FYI I genuinely sympathise with the Everton fanbase. As a Spurs fan we have had our best players poached by other clubs for years, and it's horrible and something I don't like in general)

The 5 substitute rule coming into effect will also be of consideration. Will be interesting to see how this is used/abused this season, but again just another reason why quality in depth is so important

Also Bissouma was cleared of any charges yesterday, I know some of you were worried.

i never rated him even when he was at Watford really. Never been a player i have looked at and thought, there's a great player. I dont think he's bad or anything, is a good player, but just not one i have ever really rated that highly.

That's a fair opinion, but if you are being honest you probably haven't watched much of him beyond when he plays against Arsenal. (Think he scored 1 and had 2 disallowed against your lot in December). The people who watched him play week in week out seem to rate him very highly. I just find it amusing me how eager some Arsenal fans are to tell people they never fancied him anyway. I have no doubt there will be an Arsenal Tv clip already about it.

Darwin is a bit of a knob when it comes to diving as well mind....hopefully it'll become less and less like Salah.

Think Everton might have come out on top of that Richarlison deal.

I can only presume that the recruitment team at Spurs think he's going to make a leap in terms of output this season, because I don't think it makes much sense otherwise. Currently he's a wide forward who doesn't create much or a striker that doesn't get into positions to score that many in addition to creating nothing.

That being said, Conte managed to turn Victor Moses into a title winning wing-back, so I wouldn't rule anything out.

Its just par for the course, there's a load of WELCOME TO MANU DARWIN video's about and the people who made them say they never wanted him anyway and neither did ETH.

Spurs have bought really well, honestly think they could challenge for the title, the Conte factor is huge.

Whilst I think your summary of him as a player is grossly unfair and simplified, I do think it's fair to say that none of us really know if it's a good deal or not, and won't for some time.

It could turn out to be a massive waste of money (NDombele) or it could turn out to be an amazing bit of business (Bentancur/Kulusevski/Romero) . They always say you never really know how good a transfer window is until a while later.

Bissouma, Pulisic, Richarlison and Forster all improve their squad in my opinion and that's not bad for the money they've spent.

Conte is one of the best coaches in the world, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a lot out of Richarlison.

I think Spurs have done better than Everton out of the deal and his output, in terms of goals, has a lot of potential to go up.

While Kulusevski and Son's, in particular, numbers are far more impressive I think Richarlison is that type of player who through sheer force of will / personality / determination can make himself first choice if he gets a reasonable chance.
