They usually have cool announcements at the TGA’s so looking forward to this years event. I’m guessing it’s on at stupid o’clock in the morning for us though

Making no secret of the fact this is a marketing event with some awards on the side there....

Usually has some decent announcements though. Wonder if we see BOTW2

I look forward to the annual ‘it’s just marketing’ hot takes.

Though tbf some years the balance is off.

Might just be able to stop playing Halo Infinite to watch this…

And Guardians was shite.

It's just marketing.

Ratchet nominated for Art Direction, Audio Design, Action/Adventure and Accessibility seems fair. Game Direction is vague and GoTY is to each their own I guess.

Surprised Forza didn't get into GoTY category but I guess maybe it just came a bit late.

Nice to see a couple of nods for Kena.

I need to get Returnal, Deathloop, It Takes Two and GOTG played I think.

Yeah, I mean it's obviously covid related but that is the conclusion you get looking at that list.

It’s been a quiet one this year in terms of big releases but we have gotten quality smaller titles as well. 2022 is stacked though

Considering I’ve only played one of the nominated games it has to be Metroid Dread, Dread was fantastic though so would be great if it won it, it won’t of course though.

Ratchet & Clank will probably win. Not played it myself, but it was very well received as a technical showcase for PS5 I believe?

Never really took much stock in the game awards.

Same here, (RE Village and only for a short time). My back cat is too big to play any very new stuff. :slol:

Can't wait for the game that recently tripled its active player base, is coming off the best expansion it's ever had, and is building huge hype for the upcoming expansion to lose "Best ongoing game" to Fortnite.
