Great to see you making the pledge, Tom. Just checking... I'm guessing that you're setting a maximum of ten rather than minimum? Have added your details to the OP :toot: .

...oh, you!

If ten is your minimum, what is your max? Shall I put you down for 12?

Well, we're now over two weeks into the project.

I have just bypassed another temptation; I saw that Returnal on PS5 is currently £39.99 at Amazon and my heart tried to get me to buy it. I have resisted, though, as I know that it'll be too tough for me to enjoy.

So, yeah... no purchases so far!

We reach the three-week mark tomorrow. Nothing purchased so far 8-) .

I have been severely tempted at times... I saw Sackboy (PS5) for £29.99, Returnal for £39.99 and I almost fell for Creed Valhalla and Mass Effect Legendary in the PlayStation Store sale; but I slapped myself around and got a grip.

I think the toughest point will be when I make that first purchase as there will be a risk that the floodgates open. But, right now, I have not been a melon and that feels good :) .

^ Me looking at the current eShop and PlayStation Store sales.

Man, it's tempting. If I were to get a few cheaper games, they wouldn't really count as full purchases, right? :shifty: .

Stay strong Jawa! I've seen a couple of right melons who have bought games they know they'll likely never play, just because said games are cheap. You're not a melon Jawa.

I don't think I'll make it through this time, Balla; there are a few things that, dang it, are really catching my eye. They're glinting in the crisp winter snow; so attractive and sparkly. I think I will have to pick up just one or two.

Not with that attitude!

Well, it's up to you at the end of the day. If you think a shiny thing now is likely to be better than a shiny thing down the line and have weighed that up, it's your call. Make sure to record any you buy in this thread. I'm just going to quote the OP back at you.

So, my commitment starts now.

Oof. You're taking a hard line, Balla!

I'll have a think. I may just get one. But, yes, I'm committed to writing down all game purchases here!

I am not melon. Zero games bought so far.

Well done, Gecko!

I had thought I was gonna crash this morning; I made the mistake of looking at the sales and, man, temptation almost got to me.

I held out... but I have bought a piece of DLC; the "Fire & Darkness" expansion for Godfall at £7.99 (50% off). It's not a full game but I will add it to my list in the opening post. Maybe just a bite of the melon rather than a whole one.

jawa just like don't buy digital and don't buy anything over a tenner, it seems like it might solve much of your problem here because then you have to actively look for gooseberry fool in order to buy

I'm probably 60/40 on disc/digital so far on PS5. But, yeah, I need to start averting my eyes from sales info websites. You take a quick peek and they're so tempting!

Miiiiiiilneeeeeeer! I probably spend half my web-browsing time looking at dekudeals, psprices and Amazon, lol!

I check Dekudeals regularly as well

Have you just set a game purchase limit or have you set a cost/spend limit as well?

It's a "maximum of twelve games in twelve months" target; starting from 24 November. A few other folk have set themselves a target of a slightly different number of games. I was thinking of this as being games circa £25+; I don't think I'd count a game at, say, £5 but if there were a few of them then I'd round it up to "one game". So far it has just been that Godfall DLC, though.
