Roughly speaking it’s going to be in the same ball park though? Announced around/on Pokémon Day, potentially an update in late May/early June around what would have been E3? I honestly have no idea on the exact amount of time between previous games being announced and an update on them though!

i think for sword and shield after the initial announcement we got our second one in april. there was quite a few things we knew by the time e3 rolled around.

Hopefully we’ll get our first update about Scarlet and Violet sooner rather than later then!

Finally transferred stuff from BDSP and Arceus and had a bit of a clean up, so now the only thing missing from a full Living Dex is to nab a Poipole in Shield by catching 5 Ultra Beasts in the Dynamax Stuff (I'm keeping Sword for Shiny Hunting, even though the Ultra Beasts would be at the very bottom of that list)

I sort of consider myself to still be missing Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Marshadow, Zeraora and Zarude though, as I don't have those with myself as the OT. Don't think you can do that yet, but ever since ORAS they've slowly been letting us catch Mythicals in game instead of them being just given out as a Mystery Gift so I'm sure eventually we'll be able to do it.

I’m not that fussed about being the OT, sure it’s nice but I’m more interested in just getting everything now! Fingers crossed when the inevitable gen 5 remakes come out they give us at least one of Volcanion/Marshadow alongside all the gen 5 mythicals.

Probably doesn’t help I’m basically playing them through almost side by side but I’m getting really bored of BDSP now that I’ve just done gym 6 on the both of them, tempted to drop them both really, might get to the point where I catch the cover legendary just so I have yet another one for Home and then crack on with Legends. Kind of knew going back from Legends to the older style of games was going to be hard.

To be fair to BDSP I enjoyed them on the first run through them, the Legendary hunt wasn’t awful as a small post game, it let me catch timed event Shaymin and Darkrai, I thought I’d quite enjoy essentially running through them again but yeah…..

I still don’t find them as bad as a lot of people but this is the first time (except going back to catch mythical/legendary Pokémon) I’ve properly played them post Legends Arceus and that one game alone has done so much to advance the series its very hard to go back when they don’t have the charm and quirks of Gen 1 or 2 which are almost indefinitely replayable to me

I only ever found one more Shiny other than Ponyta, a Piplup which is one of the 2 Shiny Pokémon I found in BDSP. I never really hunted for Shiny Pokémon though.

I’m just clearing up Arceus at the moment to go and actually fight Arceus. Can anyone trade me a Cyndaquil, Cranidos and Shieldon? I’m having trouble finding them all in the space/time distortions and I’m fast getting to the point where they’re the only Pokemon I need to unlock the Dex entries for.

EDIT: Or Sneasel/Sneasler also. Absolute pain of an evolutionary line.

Has anyone seen when the next lot of Pokémon Journeys is coming to the UK? Hopefully on Netflix like the first lot. Seems to be getting quite interesting from the sounds of it! As Ash has just beaten Steven and now has his next match against Cynthia in the masters league, I’m guessing Ash will win purely so he can get beaten by Leon in the final.
