We watched their Glastonbury set the other night, and besides Flowers' dreadful shouting masquerading as singing, it was a great show and made us wish we'd gone to the Cardiff gig.

Yeah even though I wouldn't have classed myself as a massive Killers fan beforehand I have to say it was a brilliant show - definitely up there in my list of top gigs.

Nice. There's something about seeing gigs abroad, adds that extra layer to it.

Got a free ticket to see The Cure, supported by Mogwai, tomorrow off a mate who can’t go. Definitely owe him a few crates of beer for that one.

Yeah, saw them too on Tuesday night, also in a small venue and strawberry float it was probably one of the best gigs I've been to in years. They have so much strawberry floating stage presence it's unreal, never anything less than hugely entertaining.

They're in that great place where they've only got a couple of albums, but they're both good, so their set is full of tunes that are great, but importantly everyone knows (rather than being there to hear the one popular song radio 1 has played to death). They're also at the point of still loving what they do and not taking it for granted. We went to see Noel Gallagher a while back and he just stood there looking grumpy, not saying much and going through the motions. It was gooseberry fool and I was bored.

Anyone going to the Green Day / Fall Out Boy / Weezer tour next summer? I'm at least 20 years too old for that gooseberry fool, but I'll hopefully be at the Huddersfield gig. Probably near the back, in a camping chair.

I am 100% in for it, and will undoubtedly be in the same boat at Bellahouston Park. :slol:

So keen for this, all three of these were a staple part of my early teenage years.

I’ve got our tickets for the Green Day /FOB / Weezer show in London. 6 days after seeing Rammstein in Coventry. What a week that’ll be!

Saw Muse again this week at Birmingham Arena. That’s twice in 3 months. They were amazing all over again. Took a mate who didn’t really know much of their stuff. He is now a convert. Fantastic show indoors, seemed to be better than the outdoor gig in the summer, but it was a little shorter with 3 or 4 songs dropped unfortunately.

Still, can’t complain. Will definitely go on their next tour whenever that is

Saw Pixies on Monday. It was an incredible set, 2 hours of solid music, no chat, no fake exit before the pre-planned encore, just 39 songs in a row. I couldn't believe how much material they got through. Absolutely amazing.

Off to see Volbeat in Brum tonight :toot: Hopefully Michael’s voice will allow him to sing ok as Sat’s gig in Bristol was cancelled due to his illness.

3rd time I’ll have seen them if it goes ahead

Went to see impractical jokers at the motorpoint in Cardiff on Sunday evening. Was pretty mediocre, the 'banter' was scripted to within an inch of it's life, and most of the stories were completely US centric (making jokes about people from boston and referencing white castle...in caridff :? ). It was made worse by the only properly funny bits being where they showed clips from the show, so really we'd just paid a lot of money to watch 10 mins of a show that's on tv for free.

Had no idea what Impractical Jokers was so looked it up on wikipedia. Sounds like the kind of gooseberry fool that should be stuck on a YouTube channel somewhere.

It's not all great, some episodes are far better than others, but some of it is really funny and well worth a watch.

Saw Kate Tempest on Wednesday night, and it was incredible. Such a moving gig, and I was absolutely blown away by how it all sounded live. One of the most well mixed shows I've heard in a very long time, and that was even when she had to perform with a broken monitor.

Taylor Swift is playing BST Hyde Park again next year  Hope the tickets aren't strawberry floating insane prices like they were for the reputation tour though...
