I enjoyed what I did get to see of Rammstein, the pyro more than lived up to the hype, and I was stood under one of the towers that fired out flame, co2 and confetti throughout.

Sadly I had to leave early when my wife rang to say she was taking our boy into A&E with breathing difficulties. He's fine now, but I missed everything after Sonne. It was very surreal walking back to my car a little way from the stadium with Engel ringing through the air around me.

It's taken me more than 10 nearly 20 years to get round to seeing them, and I didn't even get to catch the full show, I think I saw just over an hour of them. Guess I'll be waiting for the next tour now, hope its not another 3 years again.

Damn. Glad to hear he’s ok. You did well to take a call from your missus during a Rammstein gig! I could barely hear my lad who was next to me in the stands!

Engel was a disappointment for me. It was a different acoustic version on the B stage. Really like that song normally too.

Since the gig, I’ve bought £50 of Rammstein CDs and iTunes content!

Can’t wait to see them again

I bet you were Muttering under your breath the whole way home.

You’ll get payback. Years from now, when your son wants to go to a gig and expects you to transport him. “Now, let me tell you about something that happened in 2022…” (Glad he’s OK.)

I think I'd be disappointed by an acoustic version of any Rammstein song in all honesty. Engel is an excellent song though.

Woke up this morning in Switzerland to the news that the Metallica show tonight has been cancelled. We think one of the band has covid, so it’s understandable, but incredibly disappointing. That’s the risk of going international to see shows I guess, I’m several hundred quid down which I wouldn’t otherwise have spent and it’s much too late to make alternative arrangements now.

but oh well. they were pretty good in Germany, I got a nice trip around Central Europe out of it, and this sort of thing is why I tried to get to as many shows this year as possible: you never know when somethings going to stop you from seeing another one.

Oh it's at Bellahouston isn't it? Didn't their last gig there get cancelled because of bad weather?

Ticketmaster have sorted a new pair to be picked up. My girlfriend hasn't a clue what she is in for.

Eventim didn't even send out tickets for Coventry, just switched them all to print at home, then proceeded to send out tickets with the wrong information on before amending them again. No refunds on the delivery charge, they'll be sending souvenir tickets after the event.

Getting wristbands for the standing section was a ballache too. They were being handed out by one guy in a pink hi-vis labelled turnstile manager, who you had to track down and find before you could access the pitch. :fp:

The queue for box office collections there was mad, so definitely allow some extra time for that.

Thanks for that. I'm heading down there tonight so might head for the box office when it opens tomorrow.
I won't be standing thankfully.

There were plenty older than that in the standing section on Sunday. Been a while since I've been to a gig with quite such an age range, actually.

strawberry float, you just reminded me that I nearly didn't get in to Rammstein.

My wife and I both had the same two page ticket PDF on our phones. She went first and then scanned ticket 1 fine. They then scanned page 2 for me but it rejected, saying I was at the wrong event. Then the guy kept trying to fob us off saying we had the wrong ticket even though he'd literally just scanned ticket 1 in the same PDF with no issues. We must've spent a good fifteen minutes strawberry floating about trying to get in and we must've been passed to five different people until one of them finally managed to scan the ticket and said I could go in.

It was a strawberry floating nightmare. No idea if it was the fault of the ticket or the equipment they were using but it could've gone really wrong.

Fans from 1994 can easily be expected to be late 40s/60s now.
Rammstein have worn well. Obviously hiatus helped

Most Rammstein fans I saw in Cov were definitely middle aged. My lad was one of 3 under 15s I saw all night.

Most fans were 40+ I’d say.

Been listening to Rammstein all week since the gig whilst working.

Enjoy tomorrow’s gig those who are going. And to Green Day too. Both gigs were excellent over the weekend. Different from each other but still both excellent

Back in hotel after Rammstein.

Had some annoyance with the accessibility of the stadium (can't walk around it to get to different gates, then the ambulant disabled section miles away from lifts/escalator), but the show was fantastic as is the norm with them. Worth the wait.

Hopefully they'll tour again in a few years so can take the soon-to-be kid before they retire.

did you buy one of their official tshirts? If so, dont tumble dry it after washing as it shrinks more than the average tshirt! My XXL is barely a L now!
