I’ve literally never been to a gig where this didn’t happen. What bands do people sit down to watch?

James.

it happens at a lot of big stadium gigs for those in the higher levels I find. You youngsters down in the pit don't realise what it's like when you reach 50 and you have to stand for a few hours!

Dude, I’m 50. A quick sit down during a slow song is OK.

Good joke, but a curse on you for putting that song in my head.

more heat than light wrote:The one negative about Green Day is it's literally the same strawberry floating show they've been doing for the last ten years. No new songs (this is a good thing, mind), all the same theatrics. Same 'wayooo' all the way through the best songs. Any other band wouldn't get away with this gooseberry fool, but they really are a great live band.

Well Metallica gets away with James saying "do you feel alive" and "wanting heavy" before Sad But True

Would have been nice of the BBC to update their Glastonbury performances list, missed Jack White earlier as they failed to mention he was on.

Also why the gooseberry fool has he not been booked as a headliner.

Because he's nowhere near big enough as a solo act to headline a festival of Glastonbury's size.

Diana Ross was so awesome at Glastonbury today! She really did a great job with all the songs and got the crowd going. Brilliant when they were all dancing to Upside Down including the security lol.
I saw her the other week in concert and she was just as good there too. Feel so lucky to have seen her in concert.

Rammstein in Coventry tonight were off the scale!

Unbelievably good. Loud. A billion degrees of heat from their flames.

Just awesome.

Phoebe Bridgers last night was strawberry floating hot. As in, so hot that they were carrying people out from fainting pretty much from the start, and the gig had to be stopped for a medical emergency half way through. Venue massively oversold and felt pretty uncomfortable throughout.

Other than that, a really good show. Band were great and she has such a unique and powerful voice.

On a lighter note, seems Rammstein could be heard 11 miles away according to this!.

Haha, amazing. I could almost have heard them from where I am.

Though it seems weird to now be celebrating Germans setting fire to Coventry again.

Yeah I saw a great tweet along the lines of last time the Germans making this much noise and setting off so much fire was during the blitz!
