I'm amazed that Kendrick's not sold out his Glasgow date, anyone here going? Annoying it's on a Sunday for getting back to the burgh, might still go for it though.

saw every night of the Metallica UK tour. Manchester was the best cos the crowd was absolutely feral. lots of energy in the room that night. plus it had the best setlist. Birmingham felt a little bit flat by comparison but there's no such thing as a bad night when you're with Metallica. :datass:

Is that about half a grand spent on tickets?

Slightly more if you include the travel and food. I'd guess around 700/800 all in.

Plus the 4 shows I did in Copenhagen in February and September (as one was rescheduled due to illness).

My Metallica money is well and truly gone now!

Does anyone know if venues have a cut off time to letting people into a venue?

Doors open at 6 but don't think Rise Against are on until 8pm so wanted to arrive at about 7:30.

I've seen Rise Against three times and never made it in more than fifteen minutes before they're due to come on stage - the only time you'll ever be knocked back from getting into something for being late is if it's a sit down performance by an orchestra or something at a concert hall. Like I say, don't sweat it. :D

Can't wait saw them a few years ago with Pennywise but it was sit down this time I'm hoping to be right at the front as it's standing.

Sleeping with sirens sound pretty good so want to catch some of them too :)

Really fancied RTJ can't justify it at the moment, seen them at Eminem, so good even from miles away. Went down really well with the crowd too, but Danny Brown not so much and stormed off as a result :slol: He was excellent as well though.

Bugzy Malone at the Academy last week, best crowd I've maybe ever seen (too old and sober to get in amongst it). Mosh pits during the random support guy 8-)

Run the Jewels were amazing on Saturday, but the sound levels were strawberry floated for Danny Brown's set, so you could barely hear him over the music. Shame, because the setlist was excellent, and he was a bag of energy on stage.

Completely forgot Danny Brown was supporting them! Wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the people at that Eminem gig hadn't heard of him before in their lives.

Pretty sure that was the case. Most of the folk there were only there for the songs like Love The Way You Lie :dread: etc, that's why was surprised RTJ went down so well.

RTJ and Danny Brown at the Academy will be immense....talking myself into it.

Aye it was quality. Danny Brown was slowly stripping off throughout his set. Threw his jacket, tshirt, trainers, belt and watch into the crowd  RTJ were fantastic as well of course.

Complete lack of knobends in the crowd too, one of the friendliest gigs I’ve been to.

£49 each for LCD Soundsystem tickets at the Galvanizers Yard :dread:

Aye. I'm going on Monday. Not a huge fan of ATDI (But surprisingly love The Mars Volta).

I'll be going to Ally Pally twice in 5 days  (Royal Blood followed by Enter Shikari).

We had 2 supports last night. Black Honey were the first and i quite liked them. Theyre on very early though (7.15-7.45!). ATDI were on from 8.00-8.45 but I spent it in the foyer as they were not my cup.of tea.

Royal Blood were excellent though. Their sound was immense live and they had a great rapport with the crowd. Speaking of which I don't think I've seen an audience with such a wide range of ages. There were some kids under 10 with their parents right up to men in their late 50s losing their gooseberry fool and dancing all night. I even saw a couple of old couples in their 70s who stood to watch and sway to the music :slol:

Royal Blood said it was their largest audience to date (c.12k?) and you could sense their awe at what they are achieving. If they carry on producing decent music they will have a large and loyal following.

Enjoy the gig
