I could hear that argument. Either one is better than Weezer though!

Weezer and Pinkerton are both top tier albums, and a lot of their later stuff is very good (Green, Maladroit, EWBAITE and White). Certainly a much better portfolio of music than Oasis.

Top tier? Seriously? :dread:

Their debut is a fun enough album, Buddy Holly and Say It Ain't So are great tracks, but musically it's very simplistic and just a bit dull at times. It's very much in line with that LA soft rock sound of the era and I can understand that people will be into that, but calling it top tier is a big stretch.

I can't stand the vast majority of Britpop (aside from a couple of Blur songs that sound like they could have been early Gorillaz demos) and the Stone Roses are dull as strawberry float.

I was just a kid when there was all that hype about the Stone Roses, yet every time they appeared on TV, i thought they were shite (and still do).

No Pinkerton fans in here then? That album is strawberry floating excellent and is Weezer's undisputed best.

I'd dispute that quite severely.

Yeah, they're strawberry floating grim. Ian Brown is hands down the worst live act I've ever seen as well. Worse even than a Marilyn Manson show at Download where he was so high he had to go off the stage for oxygen three times.

State of these opinions. :dread:

Second Coming is a bit gooseberry fool but Stone Roses have got some quality tunes.

Can't argue either way regarding Ian Brown's live presence however as I've never seen him, but he does look like a boring banana split to be fair.

Happy for Eminem to go, but would prefer a double KO.

Oasis.
