There are acts on this list who have commited worse crimes. The Laughing Gnome, for example.

Ban request.

You leave the gnome out of this! :capnscotty:

IDGI

Being Shawn Mendes is not as big a crime as those Jackson committed.

I'm quite open minded when it comes to my music, but now I've sampled some Shawn Mendes I can see why he will be the first to go. His music videos is like an enforced insight to his personal wank bank with a terrible backing track.

Bloody awful. :dread:

Can't believe nobody nominated Rebecca Black, especially with the round 1 elimination coming on her favourite day. :fp:

The criteria is whatever you want it to be - the common misconception is that you’re voting for the worst artist on the list to leave, when in fact you’re simply voting for whichever one you don’t want to continue that day, for whatever reason.

This.

I've tended to stay out of the other Eliminators but thought I'd give this a go and avoid going with the crowd on eliminations. Makes it more interesting.

So my nominations of who I want to win were Shawn Mendes, Michael Jackson, Weird Al and Mr Blobby. IronHide made me self-eliminate Mr Blobby and now that the first round has begun the most common answers for people to be eliminated are Shawn and MJ. Thanks guys!!!

That's why they're so brilliant. He's no Worzell Gummidge.

And to those calling MJ a paedo - whatever he did or didn't do in his personal life (and I'm firmly in the camp that he was innocent) - that doesn't mean his music sucked.

I NOMINATE BLINK 182!

And to those calling MJ a great musician - whatever he did or didn't do in his professional life (and I'm firmly in the camp that he was overrated) - that doesn't mean he wasn't a paedo.

Arguably Shawn Mendes and definitely Michael Jackson have more talent than all of GRcade combined.
And those claiming Michael Jackson is a worse singer than Avril Lavigne or worse than Taylor Swift ... check yourself before you wreck yourself.
And for goodness sakes, if you're keeping The Beatles on the list (who are incredible) just remember, Michael Jackson literally owned the Beatles. Their catalogue belong to his estate.
So there!

The competition isn't "who is the best singer" though is it? ;)

Also shafting Paul McCartney to own the Beatles catalogue, doing strawberry float all of note with it and still managing to piss all your money up the wall whilst owning one of the most valuable collections of music rights in the world is not really a strong positive point for old MJ here.

You should have nominated R Kelly as well.

Best singer; best musical act; tomayto tomahto; banana pyjama. Bottom line is MJ is a million times better than half of the people on the list. Avril Lavigne had what, two mediocre "hit" songs before she got buried in some bloke's back yard never to be heard from again? Taylor Swift, who I adore, hasn't quite reached gold status yet either. She could blow away all of her modern-day contempories - Camilla Cabello, Justin strawberry floatin Bieber, and yes even Shawn Mendes - but compared to the classics, she's like a little girl who just walked out of her kindergarten princess play session.
Calling Avril Lavigne a better musical act than Michael Jackson is like saying Aaron Carter is a better musical act than David Bowie.
Calling Taylor Swift a better musical act than Michael Jackson is like saying Kate Middleton is the best Queen Consort the UK has ever had.

MJ was a brilliant musician with awful people around him and awful problems in his personal life.
Doubt anyone would be able to face high-profile, televised court cases accusing them of child molestation and walk away with loads of money. The people who accused him of doing that killed him long before Dr Conrad Murray did ... and now one of the accusors is being celebrated on British television in the new X Factor :shifty:
