While I would love no guests I bet they get paid for them so would never give that up.

They also get paid by subscribers, merch and gooseberry fool. Also not having guests plugging a thing makes the shows more rewatchable as you arent watching an interview for a thing from some years back

It did seem a bit odd that they were creating a game for this when the show was apparently ending so it's not too surprising that they've renewed it.

Still think it's a load of old wank myself, I only made it about halfway through the first season after realising it was basically the worst of the Clarkson, Hammond and May Top Gear years with any final redeeming features stripped out.

Season 1 sucks, season 2 is considerably better as it is more of the adventure stuff it is pretty much a season of top gear specials but with a bit of studio stuff, from the sounds of it Season 3 is going to be only the specials stuff.

I would recommend giving season 2 a try, they defintly found their groove again as they had worked what they could and couldn't do legally.

Okay cheers for the heads up - that does sound like it's worth giving another shot.

Now I just need to find a space to slot it into the ever growing library of shows I need to watch!

 I know that feeling, my Netflix list just seems to grow with stuff..... On the plus side GT is a show you can just put on when doing other stuff, it doesn't need dedicated time as it isn't like there is a story to follow.

Yeah, the only time my Netflix list goes down is when they remove something from the service!

Good point on the "background watching" option for GT, it's the kind of thing I like to have on when playing a game that also doesn't need my full attention. Multitasking! :datass:

So, are they finally ditching car reviews?
If all they are doing is road trips I assume the things like the news, test track and star guests are all out the window as well.

The studio segments & celeb interviews were already becoming boring when they was on TG. So for them to finally ditch them completely for Series 4 is a good thing the adventures are the best episodes

Plastered all over Amazon currently...

Obvious joke, but still quite surprising to see it heading up the biggest retailer.

What isn't surprising though is how many people on Twitter don't get that it's intentional.

Hur Hur Hur, I see what they done there... :dread:

About as hilarious as when folks used to tell each out to go to "pen island dot com" in the early days of the internet.

I mean the venn diagram of "Grand Tour Viewers" and "People incapable of understanding jokes" probably has quite a large crossover!

I know it’s a long commute back to Bristol every day, but £1,800 for a 4 bed house (plus granny flat) is worth it.
