You only really need that on if you’re going for a deep bath though!

Not put the heating on yet anyway, warming up again towards the end of the week so get through today then should be good for another week! Not that I’m finding it cold today, pleasant temperature for me really!

Just found out I'm being shunted over to E-on as my supplier has gone bust.

The heating has already been on. Wife won't risk the baby getting cold. She's just not competitive enough :x.

I turned my heating on about two weeks ago when we had a cold snap. I have electric (economy 7) heating so I kinda have to predict the weather ahead of it happening.

Just got in from taking my lad to football training in torrential rain. Needless to say, I am now out.

I was strawberry floating freezing in the night so I turned off the AC so I'm also out.

Do I get extra points for actually having a fan (as in the appliance, fan) pointing at me whilst I sleep at night?

Thermostat dropping to the mid teens for the last few days, the pressure from the rest of the household to switch the heating on is increasing!

Have you considered getting some insulation.

No heating on here yet!
Like MHTL, got soaked Tues evening taking my lad to footy training but a quick change of clothes when I got home sorted me out whilst he had a bath.

Reckon I'll get another week or so out before the pressure becomes too much from the wife or kids

We've got decent insulation, but it's getting pretty cool outside now (average daytime temp here has barely got up to 18 degrees this week) and the house is sat empty all day so by the time anyone gets home it's had plenty of time to get a bit chilly inside!

If nothing else this thread is making me realise exactly how much of an outlier I am when it comes to temperature tolerance. I couldn't imagine having the heating on when the temperature is still in the double digits. I'm still genuinely going out with t-shirts on and when I'm home using the fan to cool down. It definitely pays off when it comes to heating bills over the winter.

I don't know how much of an outlier you are in reality - I suspect many more of us would not even be contemplating putting the heating on yet if we weren't living with others who are less tolerant of the cold!

I barely touched the heating in any of the places where I have lived on my own, but any time I've lived with others it has been on at the slightest hint of a drop from summer scorchers!

Had my first bout of cramp in the middle of the night last night, the first time since Spring and will now be a regular thing until the weather starts to get warmer. God, its a horrible way to wake up.

The heating swiftly went up further when I went downstairs this morning.

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

Lol, that's my good friend's dad being carried off. He's a retired doctor. The whole family are worried he's strawberry floating lost it. Six arrests and counting. Likely to be in jail for her wedding as it stands.

Far play to him, getting arrested to avoid having to go to a wedding sounds like a great idea.

The cold weather can strawberry float with my wife's ankylosing spondylitis so we have to use the heating as soon as it gets cold really.

I'm not complaining though because I'm actually quite sensitive to the cold myself.

Right now, yes. My ex was very sensitive to the cold though so I know what its like living with someone who wants the heating on. Of course her idea of cold and mine were very different and it was just as alien then to see someone saying it was freezing at 16 degrees when for me that's a pleasant summer day. Still, my tolerance to the cold comes back to bite me with my intolerance with the heat which I suppose is equally alien to the summer lovers
